'grat go out to The Office for finally making me give a crap about a TV wedding.  :dunno:

:edit: I guess I also cared when Phyllis married Bob Vance, of Vance Refrigeration.

My excitement for The Office has decreased significantly over the last few seasons, I have to admit.

I hate all of the things you choose to be clams.  I think this may be the end days of our amiable relationship.

but

FYI: Top Chef jumped the shark this year.  Bravo has been flailing lately.

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.

Considering I just started watching the office(downloaded and watched all the seasons) I'm just as excited. I kinda get irritated when people say shows jumped the shark. You can't have the same story over and over. You need to change it up, and when people don't like the change, they say it jumped the shark. Just a pet peeve of mine. I also think a great show like The Office is kinda screwed since it was amazing from the beginning.(hard to keep that greatness going)

Also, not sure how I am going to manage with Community and Flash Forward on at the same time tonight.  :ohno:

Pretty good show. Lots of awkward-type office humor. Pretty great comedic acting, imo. Good show, you should check it out. I think Netflix has all of them online, if not you can find it elsewhere for free if you look around a bit.

I have a feeling Holly will be back by the end of the season.  Wonder if she'll be Michael's date to this wedding?  There's my crazy prediction for this episode.

it jumped the shark because the sh*t just isn't near as funny anymore.  the writing is stale.  the jokes are old.  the whole thing isn't as bad as some stupid shows but it isn't anywhere near what it was when it was fresh.  it's become predictable and unoriginal.  meh.

isn't that true of any show after the first two years?? (not arguing with your opinion, just curious)

Most tv/movies are predictable from the get-go, just takes a few episodes to get an idea of how the characters interact with each other. You can choose to enjoy it by not overthinking it, or you can keep your brain on and be bored by everything.  I don't watch much tv, but I switch my brain off for a while every now and then and watch something and let myself enjoy it.

the difference is that the office isn't treated like most shows, it's treated like seinfeld, which just got better year after year.  i'm not saying the office isn't a decent show, it's just not as great anymore as it used to be.

Some of what 'lams is saying is true, though.  I mean, how one-note is Meredith?  She's a drunk.  Preeeeedictable.  But I am extremely excited to see Pam and Jim get married.  They're just so adorable together, you know?  Some people should just BE TOGETHER.  I sometimes think it's fate between the two of them!

I really just like her sweater meat.

who is holly?  that HR chick that dated Michael?  her character was good, i wish they didn't kill her off but at the same time she and Michael seemed to get along too well and there was no reason for them not to be together, so they had to write in some drama imo.
