Obviously if it is Independence, every person involved is a dirt bag.  Having said that, if that ever happened to my kid I prolly wouldn't have to kill the guy because my Dad/cousins etc...would beat me to it.  Though, if they doddled around, I'd do it.  No bullets though, just a little 4-10 up real close to the head.   

Hopefully, that kid's family feels the same way.
