once again the gym i go to http://www.healthridgefitness.com/ was giving "almost" free tickets away today for the nub game. this is the exact quote on the chalkboard/update board as you walk in....

"2 free tickets to ku football this saturday with a $6 cafe purchase"

fyi my gym is pretty elite, a few weeks ago they started selling beer and wine at said cafe (no keystone light).

It's not how you play it's the final score...

I don't know, pimping free uk tickets would seem fairly unelite to me. :dunno:

You watch the box score. ku will have 51+K for the attendance because they count tickets sold and not turnstile counts. We do the same in basketball but for some reason have never done it in football. I remember in the real dark years of ku football under Allen they would "estimate" the crowd and that was always hilareous because they would post 38,000 or 40K and that 50K would be next to empty. As always ku cheats at most everything they do athletically.

Next year if we have a road noncon game and ku is home we should get all of their free tix and go cheer on Duke or Western Central Michigan.

This This This.  Of course spend nothing while in town.  Bring your own food.  Gas up in Topeka or KC.  Use as much water, TP, etc as you can.  Don't pay for parking anywhere.

Looks like 9/25/10, uk vs New Mexico State.  The Aggies.

Wrong.  At Bramlage they go by turnstile.  Ticket folks used to count the ticket stubs but now with the scanning, not sure, probably use the number of scanned tickets.  Used to work at the Bram.  :gocho:

Didn't lil' Bentard give us some crap in another thread about how we gave away cheap tickets to the UMASS game?

At least they weren't free you doucher.

Mine was, financially.

But, I suppose I paid for it in other ways...

Plan:

1. Buy beer at gym, get 2 free tickets, enjoy overpriced beer
2. Sell tickets to NUBB fans
3. PROFIT!

Can't believe the Regents (apparently) didn't make Lew provide back-up for his attendance numbers before they approved the stadium expansion.

Expanding their stadium for imaginary fans with imaginary dollars.  We're all going to be screwed when the state has to step in and pay off ku's debts...

 :blindfold:

Amazing what you can do with Excel spreadsheets....if you put it on the spreadsheet, it brings it one step closer to reality, doesn't it?  That's the way it works at ku, anyway.
