"It's very disturbing to me," Self said. "I've coached a lot of great kids, and Tyshawn Taylor definitely fits that bill. His judgment in what he posted on his Facebook is totally inexcusable and it was done in very poor taste. So even though they may not be his words and they may be words of lyrics to songs he listens to and likes, it's still something that isn't to be put out there like that. I do think it's offensive."

You have got to be effin' kidding me. Seff is straight pointplankin'.  Not bringing it G at all.

    Hey, basketball!!!
So in a rap song one of the lyrics is:

Quote
Yo, don't let the newspapers tell you wrong, I threw a punch, that's how I broke my thumb.

I don't think rappers like to rap about bones they've broken. It comes off as kind of a weakness. :shy:

    The very best.
We have to crush these losers.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

A hard foul when taylor is shooting should do it. Well crush his hand at least.

Tyshawn is a truly worthless human being, perhaps approaching Sherron Collins, Dezmon Briscoe, or John Randle worthlessness levels.

Our elected representatives take only one oath before being seated in the hollowed halls of congress... and that's to uphold the constitution of these United States of America.

Like our representatives, our coaches should take one oath before being granted the privilege of coaching at KSU. The oath should be the words in quotation above... verbatim.

Self's Logic:  How can I discipline 3/5 of a person?  BUT...since sherron, tyshawn and one of the morris twins were involved, that means self gets to disciple 1 and 4/5 of his players.  Chase Buford and Jordan Juenemann are gonna have to do star jumps until they puke.

I remember hearing about Colon punching some dude on campus.  It didn't get much pub, though.  No espn or nothin.  If that would have happened at ku, he totally would still be on their team.

LOL at ku fan trying to justify rampant campus crime caused by Self's basketbrawl team.

Quote from: Sweet Lew
"I've been doing college athletic administration for over 40 years, and I've never experienced anything like this. I was very, very embarrassed, and very hurt by it, too."
Quote
"There was no mistaking what I said," Perkins said. "I'm 64 years old, and I've been doing this over 40 years. I can honestly say that I was about as mad as I've been in a long time."

All this embarassment, this anger, this shock, hadn't seen something like this in 40 years of experience in college athletics.... = 0 suspension and 0 disciplinary actions taken by lew's coaches.

oh, and LOL at this:

Quote
"Jake Sharp turns around to Cole Aldrich and says, 'Hey man, stay tall,' " Perkins said. "And I thought, maybe we're over this now."

Clemente was suspended one game (NC Central) for throwing a half-assed punch to the back of Tyrel Reed's head during a basketball game.  What a joke of an athletic program.

So, if I am reading this correctly, you're saying that our athletic program is a joke for punishing a player for throwing a punch? What the hell does that make your program for not suspending anyone at all for having multiple basketball players in a fight and throwing punches? :dunno:

Hell, Tyshawn was such a dumbass that he actually injured himself while throwing a punch.  No suspension.  In BMW-logic, is a one game suspension<<<<<no suspension at all?

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
i think BMW thinks it's a joke that any discipline at all was necessary in Clemente's case.  'progressive' institutions like ku know that discipline is an outdated notion

Here's the thing; ku knows that "in-house" discipline is the way to go.  When you make these guys run a little more or maybe give them 1 less Adidas sweat suit it really hits home.  IMO, we have to commend the ku method here.

don't forget about Frank suspending Andre Gilbert before 84-75 (and then for the following 2 games) for a fight.  I mean, it was just one fight, so Frank was probably a little to tough on him, should have just made him run a few extra sprints to get the point across.

LOLlerskates.  It's probably eating you up inside that Wally Judge will be the most athletic player on the floor (by a million billion lightyears) when Big Monday rolls into Manhattan.  Don't fret, bro.  Not every team can be as athletic as Frank Martin's assassins.
