Expect a trip to Tempe for the Insight.COM bowl.

Talked with John Junker of the Fiesta Bowl committee.  Told him about our bowl hopes, and I said I hope to get to the Insight bowl and he said 2 more wins is all we need.

It will be against a Big 10 opponent.

We made the insight.com with a 6-6 record in 2001.  I might make the trip. Got a spare room, MJROD?   :shy:

The game is in Tempe.

http://insightbowl.com

More space, better parking, better bars.. Hooters is down there.. the Library..

I'm sure I'll have room for a couple of people, but I live 45 minutes from Tempe.

However, there is a Hooters a couple miles up the road from me.   :dancin:

Actually we made teh Insight with a 6-5 record. We left with a 6-6 record.

Beat ISU at home..and or CU or ku on the road and were' bowling.

It may very well come down to beating ku in Lawrence for eligibility. OH MY! I'm heading to Lawrence!

I realize it is very convenient for ya mj, but I'd much rather get the extra practice time while going to some bowl game that we might actually be competetive enough to stay within 20 of whomever.

AWESOME...

Speaking of Fiesta Bowl committee members, I ran into before and after the Insight.com Bowl in '01 at the Tee Pee Tap Room.  Before the game, he was telling how awesome K-State was, bought me a beer and gave me extra tickets to the game.  After the beat down, he told me how much K-State sucked while he had two, HOT, early 20-sumpin' chics on each arm.  Oh, and the guy was about 75 and walked with a cane.

I want to be a bowl rep during my golden years...

Being in Pittsburgh I would love to play Penn State, I am just waiting for the day JoePa dies on the sideline.

Penn State is kinda like us this year, no offense, they stink...well they aren't very good, we stink

I'm rooting against the Insight and the Texas Bowl, they're both broadcast on the NFL Network.

I would much rather play on ESPN in HD.

Actually,  the correct answer is the Bowl that we started it all with....

The Independence Bowl in Shreveport, LA.

Just a three-hour drive from Dallas, and I've got access to a couple of free rooms at Sam's Town Casino in Shreveport!!

rodent can fly to Dallas and ride to Shreveport with us...

The insight bowl would be awesome now that it's held at SDS
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

If it was the Independence Bowl I can only imagine the quality attractions and great nightlife of Shreveport would be a hindrance to me actually attending and ejoying the game.

Make it Phoenix instead.

After listening to Gatos in 1999, the Huddie Ledbetter statue is one thing I've put on my list of must-sees before I die though.  If K-State goes to Shreveport I can mark that off the list.

Shreveport is a huge casino town. Other than that, not much else. I'm hoping for that so I can go visit my former school.

I talked directly with John Junker.  When I see him next, I'll bring a tape recorder and camera.

They want KSU for the Insight Bowl (unless of course.. we win our remaining three games, win the Big12 championship and get the automatic bid to the Fiesta Bowl  )
