The Golden Eagles are 1-1 (0-1) with a win over Pikeville College and a loss at Eastern Kentucky. The Golden Eagles are coming off of a season in which they went 3-9 (1-7) and lost at Austin Peay when a late rally came up just short.

QB Lee Sweeney is completing 57% of his passes for 284 yards and he has thrown one touchdown pass (in the win over Pikeville College) and one interception (in the loss at Eastern Kentucky). The interception was in the 3rd quarter and was returned for the touchdown that put the Colonels up for good.   

RB's Tremaine Hudson and Dontey Gay have combined 239 yards on 39 carries (6.1 yards/carry) and 3 touchdown this season. Hudson had 86 yards vs. Pikeville College and 48 yards and a score at Eastern Kentucky. Gay had 88 yards and 2 scores vs. Pikeville College and 17 yards at Eastern Kentucky.

WR Tim Benford and RB Henry Sailes have averaged 12 yards/catch on 13 catches for 161 yards and 0 touchdowns this season. Benford had 5 catches for 92 yards (18.4 yards/catch) at Eastern Kentucky but only caught two balls vs. Pikeville College. Sailes had 25 yards on 4 catches (6.3 yards/catch) vs. Pikeville College. He also did damage on the ground in that game with 25 yards on 3 carries (8.3 yards/carry).
