All they ask him to do is secure the ball right?  So he comes out and throws a totally unnessary and stupid pick on the first drive.  Then on the third drive he pretty much just drops the ball when he hardly gets touched.  Neither really hurt us that bad but man he's awful.

Those were very dumb, won't argue that.  But overall he's played MUCH better.

I agree with FAN.  He looks much better so far.  He was a little late getting the ball to banks in the endzone.

We need to run the ball on 3rd and 2 every single time.

Yeah, even with Coffman playing a bit better, I don't understand why Thomas doesn't have at least 5 more touches.

He has thrown it better but he continues to make bad decisions.  He had the first down with ease had he run it but he tried to force it down the field to banks.  Somebody tell this kid he just needs to move the chains and take what is there.

Very sad that this is true.

you can't expect to sustain a drive with Coffman as your QB.  Sooner or later  he's going to make a negative play and kill you.  Every drive tonight but one has started pretty strong but ended with a negative play by Carson.  The only one that didn't when we got the field goal he missed an open receiver in the endzone.

Option on 3rd and less than one.  Why are we putting so much faith in Coffman to make decisions?  Hand the ball off up the middle.  Good god bill.

Coffman appears to be doing okay on each drive and subsequently craps the bed ...

That mistake was on the oline.  Someone missed the inside backer and gave him a free run throu.  Probably would've been an easy first down if someone just gets in the ILB's way.

Has he got the slowest release in college football. Looks like a pitcher with a full windup.

The only way we're able to run the ball at all is when we have some sort of misdirection thing going on.  I don't see us picking up 2 yards just running up the middle.  Braden did get a yard or so that one time I guess.

He needs to learn to throw it away.

Our DLine is getting owned tonight. Still undersized.

True.  When he actually sets his feet and squares his shoulders, his ball looks vastly improved.  At least this game he isn't one-hopping wide open receivers that are like 15 yards away.  He just needs to realize that his arm isn't strong enough to unleash deep throws while he's trying to elude tacklers.  Just throw those balls away dude.
