He doesn't have the physical tools to be a Division 1 quarterback, let alone a BCS quarterback.  Old Balls appeared to try pretty hard to land a replacement in the off season, with no success....I suppose his last ditch effort was hoping Gregory would be that replacement.  And don't give me this crap about Lemur....he's another &@#%ing Webb...too stupid to play the position.

Old Balls needs to go out on the recruiting trail and &@#%ing promise the starting job to our next QB right now.  Old Miss did this with Jevan Snead, because they KNEW he was head and shoulders better than any alternative that they had.  No more bullcrap about "earning" the god damn thing.  Christ, what kind of &@#%ing idiot does it take to stand there and tell Cam Newton that he has to "compete" for the job?  Sure, Cam should know that he's better than anything we have, but a Juco player like Cam doesn't have time to play &@#%ing grab ass in recruiting....he WANTS playing time NOW.

You show Cam Daniel Thomas, Chris Harper, and Brod Smith and Coach Dickey with his experienced OL and you convince that mother &@#%er that the instant he commits he's named the &@#%ing starter for the first game of 2010.

If Cam says no, then go to the next on the list.

If we don't land a D1 ready QB before February it will be quite a dismal indicator of Old Balls likelihood of success in his second go-around.

Until then, I'm not wasting anymore energy bitching about how &@#%ing awful our quarterbacks are.  Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the sun is hot and ice is cold....same &@#%ing thing.

Does anyone know if Old Balls v1.0 was recruiting Coffman in high school. I'd think that he at least was out on some recruiting visits before SS took over.

Whoever is recruiting Cam needs to be told if you lose him you lose your job.  That'll at least provide the motivation to do what it takes.  Gundy style.

It'll be alright, Pete.

D_Scott is here to pick you up in his strong, gentle, retarded arms.

Quote
d__scott

Emmanuel Lamur on Samuel Lamur

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Emmanuel said Samuel can throw the ball between 75-80 yards. He's still learning the playbook, as has already been discussed to dead horse. But I asked Emmanuel if reports about Samuel's strong arm are true and his eyes lit up. "I guess how far the receiver is going to run, that's how far he's going to throw it," Emmanuel said. "He's going to throw it. That's how he is. He's going to try to get the ball out there. He's going to try and make plays." Good stuff, this Samuel Lamur.

Seriously, the coaching staff knows how important recruiting these players is, right?

Right?

Knowing and being capable are two different things.

I'm more worried about the alarming amount of retards in our fan base that still seemingly can't understand that recruiting is and will continue to be a major problem.

Sure, that worked out great for us last time didn't it?

No promises, this isn't Chicago, you can't solve out your problems by just giving out freebies.

No one should have bashed him in the first place.  Have no idea why people bash a kid they already knew was not going to be a great QB.  If you had those kinds of expectations, you're just going to end up with an aneurysm.

We'll see what happens in game three.

While most/none of us expected CC to be great, I'd say his suckage has surpassed our expectations greatly.

you know a puppy is going to piss on floor but when he does you don't just say "oh well, you're a puppy".  you yell at him until he's trained to not piss on the floor.  we're just trying to coach'em up.  that's how it's done in a family.

Reminder of Bishop performance early on.

Remember when he played bad against Ohio at home and was replaced? Or,do you remember when Beasley replaced him at Texas Tech because of his performance problems?

That was his first year under Snyder.

Coffman is under Snyder and his system for the first time too.

I think we cut Coffman some slack.

Coffman has had much more time to learn the offense than Bish.

That would make sense is Coffman had the same physical attributes as Bishop.

also, bishop was, like, good.  jfc, gmafb.  at the end of the day, Coffman sucks.  More time under center is only going to prove this point beyond any doubt (if it hasn't already).  people need to quit trying to convince themselves of anything different and focus on bashing the kid.

Bishop and Coffman are basically the same QB.

Just give OB time to make him better.

Sheesh.

let's not compare CC to Michael Bishop...Didn't Bishop score like four or more TD's in his first game as a Wildcat?...I don't know if CC will get Four TD's all year
