go to this site: scroll down to "Ely 25 Northeast 20" @ this site: http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/highschool/football/broward/sfl-spbtop17.1oct17,0,562498.story?track=rss

Tigner is #1 in white playing on defense and special teams. He's big and looks the part moving around that is for sure.  Just a wee bit of talent on the field.

@ 1:05 on the player there is a big kickoff return by Northeast. Tigner is the big kid in white who runs him out of bounds. Good clip to show he is big and can run because he comes in w/ a bad angle and goes by the runner, has to stop, turn, and pursue from behind. He gets back up to the kick returner and forces him out. He's got nice size.

@ 1:35 there is a short yardage play for Northeast down near the enzone. He is the player coming off the left side of NE OL and clapping and then signaling they didn't get it w/ the "incomplete pass" signal.

@ 2:04 there is a FG attempt by NE. Tigner is the player coming from the outside and jumping in front of the kick attempt hanging in the air and blocking the FG attempt.

@ 2:26 he's the safety that doesn't get over in time to prevent the TD but does put a good smack on the receiver and then stands over him.

    The very best.
hat, have you had access to the ku "Forum" lately?

I'd love to see hawkdoc and nj's thoughts.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

fatty, no need for that.  They are beginning to figure out that MM might not be what they thought or had hoped.

Tigner looks like a freakin' no brainer offer on size and athleticism alone.  Rashad Washington size and probably more athletic.  He didn't look 4.45 but maybe high 4.5 low 4.6...oh well, that is plenty fast.  Still could see him as a wide out.

That jump on the FG, although he did it sort of nonchalantly, was definitely athletic.

He looks great to me.

And if he can catch would seem to me to be a perfect receiver, due to his limited experience playing football.

If Tigner does end up playing safety it would appear that we like our safeties pretty big...

Tigner: 6'3"  210

and

Curtis Thomas: 6'1"  190

(at least compared to a lot of other safety prospects)

I prefer seeing people bitch about two-star recruits to people excited about recruits that have very little chance of seeing significant playing time.  I'm not saying I know that Tigner won't be a good player, just that recruits hyped on message boards (one in particular) rarely end up doing much on the field.

Chum w/ a bit of a fatalist attitude.

Chum: "I'd rather marry the fat girl than the skinny girl that way when the skinny girl turns fat later in life she won't have the chance to mislead me."

How 'bout we not hype him and not put him down.  Just say he looks like an athlete and could be good.  I don't see anybody doing backflips or anything...he just looks like a big athletic kid.

Chum is showing a complete lack of knowledge regarding how a good football prospect is determined.

It's all about the body.

If a 6'3" 210lbs. warrior from Florida can run fast and jump high then he better be playing football, and that is what is happening with Tigner.  He's a 2-star player because before this year he had never played, but if the potential is there (good body, athletic) then that is more than enough for us to offer him and anticipate him being a good player down the line.  All it takes in football to be a good player is to be the right kind of athlete, unlike other sports like basketball.

I would guess before its over he'll get another BCS offer (already has Colorado) and it might be from someone like LSU/Florida.

He sounds like a sure thing.  Let me add him to my happy list:

Travon McGee  :dancin:
Marvin Simmons  :dancin:
Thomas Clayton  :dancin:
Dahrnez Tigner  :dancin:

Snyder didn't get along with everbody and it hindered the progress of some, I am guessing that was the case with McGee.

Simmons, when on the field, was good, a lot better than our other options at the time (Butler), but he was too strong and short and wasn't good with lateral movements and never even got to play as a senior. But discipline was his major flaw, not athleticism.

If we had a line, Clayton would be more than good enough, and no one would be complaining.

I hope Tigner is able to prove you wrong.

I'm rooting for you Dahrnaz!! :dancin:
