So much for the direct flights into Manhattan from DFW helping with recruiting.  ku has nine Texas commits compared to only two for K-State in the class of '10.

Direct flights have only been going for less than a month, with only one home football game, 4 days ago.    Stop ruining every thread, making it about ku.  We do not agree to be your rival, tell everyone in flyover country hi.   :AA:

LOL at the King of the Validators . . . flights started August the 25th, 2009.

But we understand your Bentard Logic . . . a 3 star kid from Texas is vastly superior on every level than a 3 star kid from Kansas.   :jerkoff:

I didn't realize the direct jet service from MHK to Dallas was a sore subject for Ben.

Good to know!

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

The direct flights not only aid in Texas recruiting, but recruiting from everywhere in the country.  While uk has to fly kids into KC and drive them through flyover country, we can fly kids in directly from DFW.  Every airport flies into DFW, so we can bring kids straight into Manhattan with only one stop to change planes.  Changing planes in DFW>>>>>>>>> Driving through flyover county.  Thanks for bringing your own special blend of desperation to yet another thread on your non-rivals board though.  Seriously man, 1000s of posts to tell us we're irrelevant?

it's comical, really.

Nevermind the fact AA is the largest airline in the friggin united states...or the fact it offers 250+ non-stop flights from DFW.....

Eat our ass, Lawrence.

Another thing to consider is players wanting convenient access to their hometowns.  Imagine a kid from Fla or CA knowing that his family and friends are only a quick 1 stop flight into Manhattan away.  A player's parents don't have to drive across the country or even the state any more to see their kids play.  uk player's parents have to fly into KC and rent a car to brave the wilds of flyover country in order to see their boy's games.  Sounds expensive and complicated.  KSU+1.

Nice regional recruiting.  While we bring in kids from FL, MD, GA, etc, you guys are forced to stick with kids from neighboring states.  Such is life in flyover country.

My wife works for  :AA: and out of curiosity, we went in and looked at the flights for the Friday before the next home game and both flights are sold out.  Lots of EMAW coming in by airplane for Tennessee Tech (or perhaps Tennessee Tech travels commercial?).
