Zero talk so far about the game.

Their heads are wrapped around the A&M game.

They screwed the pooch in that game in the last minutes.

Get them in 4th down and watch them go option.

IF, we are able to go into Columbia and eek out a win, missouri will crumble, you can count on that.

i just we can generate some offense to stay with them and pull out a close win. but on the road, it will be tough for sure

And that will affect play on the field in what way exactly?

If we do win, we only have to win 1 more to go to a bowl and are chances of doing that improve tremendously of the remaining four games.

However, if we get blasted, which is probably going to happen, it gets harder.

I think at this point, I don't think we're going to get 8 wins.

I might be missing something here but what does it matter if the FANS are looking past the Cats?

Based on this board, I'd say we're looking past MU as well. Appears we're writing this off as a loss. Didn't see the game, but hopefully A&M exposed some weaknesses. Maybe they're looking past us to Oklahoma. :peek:

Mizzou is better than Nebraska and we play on the road this week.  It's hard for the D and ST to generate points so I don't like our chances.  This offensive paradox of having the most talented QB and best offensive mind in the Big XII, yet not being able to score points is getting worrisome.
Once you get past the ethics, the rest is easy.

I don't know how good MU's defense is, A&M ran the ball on them, so lets hope we can too.

MU likes to throw the ball more, and I think the secondary is the strength of our def, so if Pinkel choses to throw the ball alot, it could benefit us.

I wouldn't count on either of those things happening.  People that watched that game can tell you that Mizzou looked better.  A&M actually couldn't run the ball on us at all until the second half, averaging under 2 yards per carry in the first half.  Our defense was on the field about 25 minutes, the equivalent of about 3.5 quarters of defense before A&M started getting going on the ground.  We just kept fumbling over and over so our defense was on the field constantly.  Where they did expose us was in balance.  We're very good at killing one dimensional teams, but if you can run and throw, then you can keep us off balance.  Even with that though, we'll still slow you down.  I doubt anyone will score 30 on us this year.

On offense, yes we like to throw, we also like to run: we're just better at throwing.  A&M played great D on us in the second half, rushing only 3, yet still managed to stuff the run.  We'll see if other teams can gameplan that.  But Mizzou did start moving it after adjusting.  They only got 5 posessions in the second half.  The first three were 3 and outs.  Then we adjusted and had a length of the field drive that stalled at the four, and another that was moving but came up just shy of a first down.
