Sorry for the new thread but his quote nneeds to be spotlighted and out on it's own.

Quote
There's not even a comparison there. The idea that you suggest that Freeman is better than Taylor is ridiculous.

fuggin' idiot.  Freeman has started two games.  Through Taylor's first two starts (AS A JUNIOR WHO HAD A YEAR OF STARTING JC BALL AT BUTLER UNDER HIS BELT)

Maine (lol) 15-32-2 int's 192 yards 0TD's
Wake Forest 14-33-1 int   114 yards  1TD

So, after first two starts....

TRUE FRESHMAN Soul Glo: 37-62-2 int's 447 yards 0 TD's  (psst, two Big 12 opponents and one ranked)
JUNIOR skinny biznatch: 29-65-3 int's 306 yards 1 TD (psst, a horrendous 1AA and bad ACC team)

MAD BOMBcrap props to skinny biznatch on his TD pass vs. Wake Forest in his first two starts as a player 3 years older than Freeman is now.

PROPS NU!!

You're a moron. Someone suggested that Freeman is better than Taylor....NOW..that was the basis of the comparison.

If you have an issue with the comparison, then blame the idiot who made that suggestion. Of course picking one idiot out of this crowd would be tough....here's  a tip...just aim for someone dressed in "Homosexual Purple" and you can't miss.

tisk, tisk.  You are the one who tried to compare a freshman playing behind a pourous OL and his star receiver crippled vs. a senior QB playing behind a competent OL that has a running game and receivers who have been in the current system a few years...and even then they didn't play the same defenses.

Having said that nothing was special about Taylor the other night...he was 12 for 21 w/ zero TD's.  Hell, he had two that should have been picked and one of his long passes, the big one to the Big JC transfer, was tipped OVER our corner who was breaking on the ball...fluke pass and catch.

Based on what I saw on the field...I'd take Freeman now and live w/ some growing pains.

freeman>taylor

Posted by ascxiii on the "Freeman is Good" thread. No qualifier like "will be." It's pretty clear he meant right now. What a moron. That's what prompted my comparison.

Here's one of the other responses:

Not this again.

Most would trade one year of Taylor for 4 of Freeman.

It's common sense.

I think Freeman has the talent to be good someday, and I admired his composure under a great deal of pressure. But to say he's better than Taylor now is asinine homerism.

    The very best.
When even hatter struggles to KO tfree...you know you've got a badass on your hands.

Son of a bitch tfree...leave us alone.

 :crybaby:
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

The comparison was based on one of your idiot K-State goons claiming that Freeman was better than Taylor....right now...that's insane..

Here's the comparison:

For the season:
Taylor has completed 65.2% of his passes for 1547 yards, with 14 TDs and 2 INTs.
Freeman has completed 43.1% of his passes for 663 yards, with 0 TDs and 6 INTs.

There's not even a comparison there. The idea that you suggest that Freeman is better than Taylor is ridiculous. That's like comparing the driving skills of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Stevie Wonder. You're a complete idiot.

I think Freeman has some potential. My point was that choosing him over Taylor at this point in his career is asinine homerism.

Thanks Fatty....and no one KO's me....I'm slapping hatter around in this one too...

One of your fans is the one who said he'd take Freeman over Taylor right now, I'm just pointing out how stupid that is.

t32,

Like fatty I must commend you.  You are a fuggin' workhorse dude.  You are giving our boyz all they want a tremendous workout today.  I am inspired by your willingness to actually gather some facts before posting your trash...most husker socks won't touch facts but for that you are legit.

let's not get carried away.  I saw your moutpiece going flying when I staggered you on an uppercut w/ Taylor's first two starts ala Maine fighting Bears.  No Waco Baylor smack will knock me off my stride when NU struggled against Maine in year 2 of Cally's tenure and Taylor being a Junior.

But, again, props.  You are legit while most NU posters ignore truthful info.

Thanks Hatter. I appreciate the kudos. With the info available on the internet, it's pretty easy to find facts to back up an argument, and just lazy to not do so when they help you out.

BTW, I'm not really a K-State hater....not a fan, but not a hater. I just like to talk the smack.  :)

Take Care.

No, I actually agree that Taylor struggled early last year...that's not at issue. Most raw QBs struggle...Freeman is struggling to some degree, but shows promise.

The parameters of the argument were established by one of your fellow K-Staters. He said he'd rather have Freeman than Taylor right now. Not Freeman over Taylor last year. Not Freeman's potential versus Taylor right now. Freeman over Taylor right now.

Taylor is a mature leader, well-schooled in the offense, a game manager who can make key throws when needed, a guy who's cool under pressure, who gets beta up and stands up and keeps fighting...he's a gamer, and a huge asset to NU.

Freeman has potential. He might wind up being better than Taylor. But he's not there yet.
