How can Hutch high win 5 state championships in a row and not have more D-1 athletes?

Thank God. I'm sick of hearing about Rockhurst having the best football team in the world

They're all 5'4" messicans with a dozen cornfed boys in the middle.  A whole team of Sproleses and a few giants who can't cut it in D-1.

Nobody cares

That would not be accurate considering there were over $5,000 people at the game.  That is a lot of fans for a high school football game in Kansas.  I think only a couple hundred were from Rockhurst.

I think it's because they are fundamentally sound and know there assignments.  None are stud athletes but they have been doing the same plays since they were in 5th grade.  All the plays Hutch High runs are posted on-line so anyone can see them.  They only run 8-10 different plays a game but nobody can stop them.

there coach is a grade A douche bag but the guy knows how to win football games, and obviously "coachem up"

Their coaching staff basically controls all football in hutch and kids start learning the system from the time they step on a field.

We always played Hutch in regionals every year.  Back then, they didn't win a game for like 3 straight years.

Yes, we were awful.  Probably played against me (sort of...I didn't see the field much...which is a sad statement considering how awful we were).  We won 3 games in my last 2 years there.
Wondering who is running this hot dog stand and seriously considering heading out for tacos.

Always weird to me when people who are long gone from high school get really proud and arrogant about the success of their old high schools sports teams.  Must be a western ks thing.  Hutchinson is in western ks right?

no, south central..I guess technically it is west of I-135, but it's pretty much the middle area of the state, give or take 50 miles.

To sum up why they don't have more d-1 athletes...COACHING.

To be honest I did not go to Hutch High and have no connection to them other than I live in a small town outside of Hutch.  Just interested in the football team as well as the local team Buhler Crusaders.  Who also won.  Beating Andover 52-27.  Buhler had a kid rush for over 300 yards in that game.

Proud to say I played for Randy Dreiling (before he was at Hutch, though).

My bad...figured if you were from Buhler, you woulda said hometown team, not local.
OT: Had a high school teacher right out of school from Buhler. Nice guy.

Buhler includes a lot of Hutch students, so someone of interest may not necessarily be a Buhlerite.

That's why there's a 5A school in a town of 1300 people.

Would mostly agree I just moved to buhler 2 years ago and find myself "popping collars" and have also noticed my fecal matter has a nice aroma, almost like lilac with a hint of lemon.

The non-stinking crap has something to do with the local water supply.  Something they started added even back in my day.  We got healthy doses of it in the HS water fountains, so even us Buhler students from hutch were treated with Non-Stinking crap.
