I just learned that alcohol will be sold on Sundays in Manhattan!

Starting on Nov 29th, liquor stores will be able to sell booze on Sundays and even on Christmas!

Sundays are for Family (both physical and Spiritual).  It is G-d's day.   Now instead of attending church, owners will have to spend time away from their families so Deon can get loaded on malt liquor.

It's a sad day when business owners get their decisions made for them by the government.

I guess even a solid town like Manhattan is getting corrupted by Liberal ideology.

Blue laws prohibiting Sunday sales, while originating in conservative principals, are completely liberal in nature.  A conservative that believes in limited government also believes in letting the business owner decide what is best for his own business.

there is currently a liquor store in ogden that is open on sundays. right when you get into town on the left side of the road.

For many store owners, being open that extra day means having to hire more staff. For the large stores, it doesn't  matter much, but for the mom and pop's, it could mean a world of difference in the bottom line.  That's why many of them oppose opening.  In a small town where there's only one or two stores, its not that big of a deal to remain closed even if they are able to be open.  In a town with high levels of competition, like Manhattan, they pretty much have to remain open or else lose some of their customer base.

We used to make the late Saturday run so we would have beer on Sunday, but 90% of the time, the beer only made it a few hours into Sunday.

There is NO right to buy alcohol in the Constitution.  This is a clever plan to force bigger business to push out small business owners.  They are pushing their values and beliefs on us!
