Thanks to all the K-State fans for our 800th win. At the rate you guys are going, you'll get there too, by about 2350.

You had a nice little run over the past few years, even finishing in the Top 25 a few times. Too bad that's over.

It's pretty funny reading these posts from idiot-homers that think that KSU actually has a superior football program than NU. Look at the history, look at the W-L records, look at our trophy case which isn't empty and gathering dust. Look at our Heisman winners, our All-Americans, our players in the NFL. In every way measurable, NU just eclipses you guys in terms of quality, class, and excellence. Yet you prattle on about how much better you are...pretty funny stuff.

In fact that only thing that impresses me is that you manage to maintain a Division I program in a low-class trailer park like Manhattan. Getting athletes to come there must be difficult. I wonder if the lack of paved roads or the lack of running water is more attractive to them?

So keep it up Kitty fans...it's especially funny after the beatdown you got last night. Those 22 yards rushing you guys finished with is especially impressive....right up there with your loss to Baylor.

 :flush: K-State!!!

Nebraska ... where big news is 300 tons of burning cow manure.

Where the biggest thing in the state capital is ... the state prison.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

:) Way to pick the only possible period of history where K-State has a superior record than NU. That's just damn funny.

Want to try the last 20 years? 50? 100? Probably not.

Want to compare National Championships? Probably not.

How about conference championships? Probably not.

All-Americans? Probably not.

Heisman trophy winners? Probably not.

Recruiting classes? Probably not.

Instead you find some website that shows that for a limited three year period, KSU actually managed to have a marginally better record than NU. That's what you hang your hat on. Pretty weak, but then so is your team this year.

K-State is not our measuring stick....Notre Dame, USC, Texas, Ohio State, and other top-floght programs are.

I'm just amused by how the fans of a third-rate program think they can actually compete with a program like Nebraska's...way to delude yourselves. I guess Saturday was your reality check. Back to the Big 12 basement for you guys.

Yet you spend your evening over at a K-State fan site attempting to compare programs with 'lil' ol' KSU...  Interesting to say the least.

Me thinks it has something to do with the fact that we've won over half of the past 9 contests after being dominated for so many years.  Anybody who doesn't think that this rivalry with NU will carry on much the same way the CU-NU rivalry has lasted, is simpy burying their head in the sand.

Again, thanks for the concern regarding our program.

If they were, why are you spending so much time on this message board?   Oh that's right.  Since 1998, you've been irrelevant and I guess, what, one step at a time?  (snicker)

K-State is kind of a litmus test that way for us. As in, any coach that loses to K-State is an embarrassment to our storied football tradition, and needs to be run out of town.

Losing to such a third rate team is just not acceptable. So thanks for the excuse to run Solich out of town and bring in Callahan. As Saturday's result demonstrates, it's back to dominance for Nebraska.

Oh, and for the moron that compared KSU's rivalry with NU to the one we have with Colorado...there is no comparison there. You see Colorado has actually won Big 12 Championships, competed in National Championship games, and even won a National Championship...that puts them on our radar.

You guys are more of a bug on our windshield...especially after Saturday.

Actually, I gotta give mad props for opcat's response.  It's true you guys did us a favor by waxing our formerly drunken coach at home almost 3  years ago.  Who could forget Ell Roberson's "Kstate in da House baby!!"  A bonus was you guys destroying OUtlaw in the conf championship.

Wow...you managed to sqeeze four QBs into the ten year period that you were relevant? That's nice...after a couple of sub-.500 seasons, that will make for some nice memories.

So what does it feel like to be "The team that over the past 100 years has managed to stay within 20 points of Nebraska a handful of times." That's quite the claim to fame.

It must sting to know that it was KSU that brought you down from your 30 year run, huh?

No, actually that was Frank Solich that brought the program down. Losing to K-State was just unacceptable...a little like being dunked on in a pickup game by Gary Coleman. It made it clear that it was time to shake things up a bit. Now we're back on track, as evidenced by Saturday night's game.

We're irrelevant and yet you are obviously spending a crapload of time on our board?  Is that what you so do with irrelevant teams?  Because I'm sure you were talking crap on Troy's board earlier this season.  But good luck when you play not to lose that badly against texas and in your bowl game.  Maybe thats why you haven't won a big game since, well a pretty long ass time.  You beat a Michigan team playing really poorly in a bowl last year.  Thats the closest thing you have to win against a "relevant" team in the last 6 years.  If you want to be considered one of the big boys you should try to win the game against USC instead of avoid embarassment.  But then again who can avoid embarassment against USC...oh yea, KSU beating them twice.

No, I come here to talk smack because you're a bunch of classless goons that actually thought you were bigtime. You'd think the loss to Baylor would have gotten that out of your system. Instead you tried to talk trash about Nebraska. The Big Red Machine stomps all over your little purple puddy-cats, and you come in here and whine about Nebraska some more.

So I'm just here as a reality check, to let you kittens know that getting uppity is inconsistent with getting beaten by Baylor and barely being over .500.
