Things aren't set up well for the Cats next Saturday.  We have to play at Mizzou's place.  They lost their perfect record last week and are going to be looking to make a statement.  They're also looking to end our long streak.  They've implemented an offense that they're running pretty well, and that we've had fits against in the past.

Meanwhile, our offense remains AWOL.  Our defense has done a nice job so far of pretty much keeping us in games well past halftime, but if there's a candidate for a game where we finally take a pounding, this is it.

I fully expect a beatdown, yet I'm still going.  :dancin:
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Well, I will be there among the boone county hillbillies.  Unlike most of you, I have actually had a great time in Columbia for 9 years running.  I'm talking wearing the purple proudly and eating at the Heidelberg (sp)   :beerchug: next to campus.  Of course I didn't call them a bunch of hillbillies after the wins we had (most of those folks there seemed to be from St. Louis).  Mizzou has a great campus, and when I finally went there I figured out that if car racing, fishing and hunting were college sports, they would be a powerhouse! (not that there is anything wrong with that!).

Again, our defense will keep us in the ballgame.  What will the offense be?  That in and of itself is worth the trip to find out.  I look at it as an adventure really.  It will be a game and if the Cats win...I will be there! :woohoo:
" and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me," Carl Spackler

Mizzou is overrated.

Probably, but we still can't score points and MU's offense can.  Their scoring defense is better than ours. I hope we keep the margin under 14.  I think Coffman is going to posterize our secondary.  And if Pinky gets the opportunity, he's going to run it up.

I am also expecting a good beat down as well.

Ever since my wife (a Mizzou grad) and I got married in 1993, K-State has beat Mizzou in football.  She even accused Snyder of retiring just so we would win last year !   Well, of course we did and extended the streak.

K-State is the only Big 12 school that Missouri has not beaten in football since the conference expanded to 12.

I'm hoping for the best, but I'm still expecting a loss Saturday.

:hope: :hope: :hope: :hope: :hope: :hope:

330.7 ypg...12.33 ppg.

We are averaging 27 yards per point. Ouch.

No, they're not.  They're very efficient.  Until last week, they'd never been behind this season, at any point.

Yeah they are.  All those factors I listed, all add up to if they get the opportunity to keep scoring, they're gonna pile it on.

Mizzou is also an extremely fast starter.  They score a bunch of points in the first quarter.  They would have scored in like three plays to start the game on Saturday against aTm if the WR hadn't fumbled through the endzone a half-yard shy of paydirt.  IMO, if that hadn't happened, we'd be going in to play an undefeated Mizzou team.

All the "experts" on the radio agree with me today, saying that Mizzou is a no-brainer and they're likely to RUTS.

 :frown:

I'd love for Coach Prince and the boys to prove me wrong.

I think Missouri wins this one by at least two TDs....and predict around 35-10.

I don't know if they get 35 but that 10 looks about right.

Peter Yates Enoch said on the program today, and I quote:

"Kansas State...that's not a great defense. That's not even a good defense.  That's an average defense."

Yeah, they're not ranked second in the conference or anything.  Nor are they hampered by being left out on the field continually by the offense.  What a moron.  He should stick to answering arcane trivia.

One thing about all those stats....We scored 3 on Nubb and 3 on Baylor....We scored 31 on OSU.....so they're pretty much meaningless.....'cept for our defense of course.

exactly what i was thinking-good for the cover.  we've played some very good offenses and no-one has cracked 30 yet...plus mizzou will turn the ball over a few times on our end.

IF, the offense can string together  some first downs with out turning it over we will be in the ball game. That's a big if. Better yet IF we can generate some rushing yards We could be in it. But most likely we're going to have to start a new winning streak next year~

Enoch and I were both wrong.  We have a horrible defense.
