sorry, strongly disagree.  New young coach, decent players in most positions.  Recruiting for speed.  Uh...no not even close and Wooly is a friend of mine.

I am ok giving him a year or two to get his system and players in place.  Look no further than ugly red to the north.  If you believed the internet chatter, Callahan had sunk the good ship lollipop and his ass should be gone.  Now in his third year, he probably has a strong 9 win team.  Look to the south to the school of the slightly darker toned red.  Stoops first year was nothing to write home about....and did he have any division 1 coaching experience?  Eat your popcorn reading useless banter wasting good bandwidth?  Not me...
" and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me," Carl Spackler

easy catbanker.  Click the provided link.  We were telling the beakers that Mangino was just like Wooly...his numbers are just like wooly...nearly identical.  It's uncanny.  They didn't believe it but now they are starting to buy into it hence the linkage.

I'm a Prince backer...I know he needs some time and patience from the fanbase.

In Catbanker's defense...  I hate it when I have to register on another site to read the linked content.

You should register on phog anyways. Nothing will provide you with more entertainment than a phog.net meltdown.

sorry, my bad....actually I just assume that was what it was about on a football board so I made an ass outa me :shy:  And you know what, I know Mark as well and if you are talking records...it is uncanny.  If you are talking individuals and personalities...no comparison.  Wooly is a good guy and took it like a man.  He even told Weiser that the next coach needed to be a recruiter...nice to know Weiser listened.

No you didn't...don't sweat it.  We don't catch everything going around on these boards.  If you had not read some of the banter between ku and KSU fans you could not have known.

About July or August a comparison of Wooly and Mangino's first 4 years was posted.  Their winning pcts in both overall and conference record was uncanny.  We pointed that out to ku fans and told them that Wooly was one leg out of town w/ KSU but that they were worshiping MM for having the same lack of success.

Mangino did go to post season but roughly half the D1 plays in post season and mediocrity is rewarded...roughly 1/3 of MBB get post season and going the 3-5 equivalent to football at 6-10 in conference play in basketball does not get you a NIT or the "Houston Bowl"'s version for basketball.

    The very best.
It's time to change our focus to spinning mangino so they can keep him.

"Hey! You beat kstate that one time!"

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
