The Tigers are 6-1 after falling to Texas A&M yesterday. I'm not sure what to make of them because their non conference schedule (Murray St, Ole Miss, New Mexico and Ohio) is a combined 10-18 (36%) so far and Colorado just got their first win, Texas Tech hasn't beaten anyone that would make your eyes pop out and they lost to A&M.

QB Chase Daniel is completing 65% of his passes (11.7 yards/completion) and has a 3:1 TD/INT ratio. 9 of his TD passes have come against Murray State and Colorado. He also had negative rushing yards vs. Murray State and CU.

RB Tony Temple has 600 yards on 116 carries (5.2 yards/carry) but is average has gone down in each Big XII game. He averaged 3.9 yards/carry vs. CU, 4 yards/carry vs. Texas Tech but only 2.8 yards/carry vs. Texas A&M.

WR William Franklin averages 18 yards/catch and has averaged double digit yards/catch in Big XII play but only has 1 TD in Big XII play. Chase Coffman has 3 TD catches in Big XII play.

The Tigers do return 4 offensive linemen (C Adam Spieker, tackles Joel Clinger and Tyler Luellen and G Mike Cook) but they did lose All Big XII G Tony Palmer and that's a big loss.

Defensively, the Tigers are lead by DE Brian Smith (who is a sack machine) and they have two more DE's that split time on the other side (Stryker Sulak and Xzavie Jackson) who combined for 10 sacks last season. Their DT's (Lorenzo Williams and Jamar Smith) combined for nine sacks. They have two LB's back (MLB Dedrick Harrington and SLB Marcus Bacon) and Van Alexander takes over at WLB for Derrick Ming. In the secondary, David Overstreet has moved from SS to FS. Brandon Massey is the new SS. Darnell Terrell and Domonique Johnson are new to the CB position.

An interesting note is that Adam Crossett handles both punting and place kicking duties.
