I didnt see on here where anyone mentioned the fact that the nebraska fans started chanting dylan meier at the end of the game but i thought it was hilarious.  that said it wasnt very classy.

I sat near the Nebraska "section" and I wouldn't even dream of calling them classy.

They mocked our cheers, they mocked our fans, and they mocked our team.

I actually want to say that the future looks bright for you guys.  Freeman is the real deal, and your defense is still as tough as always.  I expect you guys to get to a bowl.  Good luck the rest of the year.

We had a three guys sitting in our section and there were asses right up to the point they were reminded that they were sitting in a KState Section.  They realized there were about to take a beating and calmed down quickly.

McGuffin is getting notified on Monday.  Whoever sold their chairback seat in Section 4 row 34 seat 9 to a 23 year old smartass husker fan will pay dearly if he wants to keep those seats.  It cost big bucks for those damn seats and to let red in that section is unexcuseable

One k-state alumni had security come by and check his ticket.  The sob proudly waved it in the air for everyone around to see. :forked:

I don't mind fans from opposing teams sitting nearby cheering for their team but actions like his are just not tolerable! :banghead:
" and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me," Carl Spackler

"Koug" brought two Nebraska fans with him.

I seriously think I got in a fight with Koug's dorky friend.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

KSU fans don't really have anyone to blame but ourselves.  I haven't seen the stadium with that much red in it since...well...1996 which coincidentally was the last time NU had beaten KSU in Manhattan until this Saturday.  I'd espescially like to thank the donors on the West side for pussing out and selling many, many tickets to NU fans.

The fact is that a lot of our fans are nothing short of ridiculous.

I haven't lurked on any other boards, but I presume with the game being won by Nebraska, that Manhattan did not magically turn into the Gaza Strip.

In my secton, there was lotsa red.  They were great.  We laughed and had some fun.  They came over to our tailgate after the game.  Ive been to a lot of KSU - NEB games and I've rarely seen any trouble.

Course I'm not one who actually looks for trouble....

Now next week... at Ferret Field..... those friggin Boone County hillbillies are real cretins.

I could also see too much red in the west side middle deck and the east side suites.

I had a nice conversation with a mixed NU-KSU tailgate in the east lot before I walked up to the stadium yesterday, but Friday night in the 'Ville was interesting. I had this conversation with a young couple wearing Nebraska shirts in O'Malley's.

LW: Nebraska? Wow. Good for you guys.
Girl: K-State sucks.
Guy: Yeah, you guys are going down tomorrow.
LW: No, seriously, I don't care who wins. Good for you guys hanging out down here wearing red.
Girl: (walking away) At least we're ranked!
Guy: (high fiving Girl) That was a good one.
LW:

J-Mart mentioned a run in after closing time, too. Not sure on the details. Just drunk NU fans being idiots.

Nebraska fans are actually well known for being some of the classiest in college football. If you ever come up to Lincoln, you'll be treated nicely and with respect. Nebraska fans also travel well. I remember for the game at Notre Dame a few years back, there were probably as many Husker fans in the stadium as Irish fans...it's always like that.

Just an honest question...

Is it "classy" or "un-classy" to walk out during the early fourth quarter of a 38-9 beatdown in Lincoln, when knowing full well that the opponents are expecting the customary "standing ovation" after any game in Memorial Stadium?

Let 70,000 Husker fans know.

Thanks!!

there was a pretty sweet fight at tubby's after the game between a nebraska fan and a kstate fan.  i also saw on my way into a game some cops talking to a nebraska fan and a kstate fan about apparently having been in a fight while tailgaiting.  and the dylan meier chant was classy as hell.  that said i had a pretty good time with some nebraska fans after the game in aggieville.

I was actually waiting for a "WAIT TILL BASKETBALL *clap, clap...clap, clap, clap*" chant from the KSU student section with about five minutes remaining.

Too soon?

Good game.  Freeman will be something special for you guys.  Your defense is much better than I thought it would be.  Remember, when you change systems and long-time coaches like you guys have done, it will be a couple of years.  I would expect that by Freeman's Junior year, you guys will be a bitch to deal with.

Thanks for the good time this past week - it was fun talking smack.  Good luck, and beat Mizzou.

Went out at half time and there were some classy NU fans walking in the grassy lot, as they passed the tailgate to our south, they poked around in a cooler...I asked them if they had left something there. Real class.

Also before the game some college age guys in red were walking through the grassy lot and out of no where, one of them came crashing into my boyfriends dad, who was sitting in a chair having a drink, we were a good 25-30 feet from the asile where these guys were walking, not sure if he was trashed stumbling around drunk or it was planned or he was shoved or what, but not cool.

NU fans :chainsaw:

I actually met 3 classy fans sitting directly behind me.  They were pretty cool guys and even complimented us on our D and said Josh Freeman was going to be a bitch to deal with in the years coming... However, Those 3 guys didn't out weigh the 30 or 40 I ran into on the way in.

NU may have been classy in the past, or that just may have been a title they gave to themselves... But to any NU fans reading this... Most of your fans I ran into Saturday were the biggest dicks I've seen at any venue... That includes traveling to Tech and Colorado.  Congrats.

the guesstimate is that 75% of the husker fans at that game have never attended unl.

dipcraps are more often than not just bandwagon/frontrunners.

ksubanker, I sat one row in front and about 5 seats to the left of this same kid and I have to agree with you - this kid was a punk!  If I had been thinking, I would have snapped a picture of him and doctored it up for all to see.

Anyone else think that the Husker fans got their skull and cross bones arm/hand signal that they are doing now for their "vaunted" blackshirts from our Lynch Mob hand signal?  I don't remember seeing that prior to this season from the 'Skers.  Funny how that happens when you have jealous fans who can't stand the fact that the once lowely doormat KSU program has owned you for the past 10 years prior to the last two seasons.......

I have no idea who comprised the "Lynch Mob," but I bet they played in 1998 or later?  NU has been "throwing bones" since the early 90's.  I think you might have it backwards, per usual.

Well, unless your "Lynch Mob" was back around the 1993-1994 season (which is highly unlikely, considering you guys were still getting every other team in division 1 A's dicks slapped in your face at the time), I'm pretty sure we're the ones that started it.

That's because you're an idiot, and you obviously haven't paid any attention to college football the last 15 years.  Thinking this is akin to believing that Florida State started their tomahawk chop because they saw your lynch mob throwing up hand gestures a couple years ago.

With all due respect, I would rather shave my balls with a cheesegrater than be a KSU fan for even one day.  No one here is jealous of sh*t from you guys.

And as far as "owning" us the last 10 years (before the previous two of course, lest we count two in a row you've lost), NU is 6-5 against you from 1994-2004.  If you count the last two years, that's 8-5.  If that's what you Cats call owning, you have a miserable f*cking existence (even moreso than previously thought).
