Yeah, I could tell Texas was a bit stand-of-ish about the whole thing. Pretty sure when we shook hands texas, slyly, with his left hand crossed his fingers.

Classy, huh?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Sore winners/losers.  I mean, you can tell they are happy to be associated with us as part of the Elite 15 because it makes their beatings at our hands that much easier to explain.  I mean, there's no shame in going down to another member of the E15, no shame.

Some people think that there is a clandestine meeting of the E15 every year in a heavily-fortified, undisclosed site somewhere in the US.

Apparently, the E15 decided last year to manipulate the global economic crisis for selfish interests, agreed on a time table for the trans-continental highway and determined to keep Utah out of the national championship game even if they went undefeated.

friend just texted me and said that there is a rumor going around that the fifteen are planning on separating from their current conferences and all joining a new conference to be named "The Elite 15". you guys think this is true or just a rumor? kind of doubt it but at the same time, it kinda makes sense ya know.

I could see it happening.  It would be nice to give some sort of elite credit to the athletic programs that have worked their ass off to deserve such an honor.  Other programs just don't measure up....

Don't know but word around happy hours bars on the East Coast is that the E15 met recently in a hotel outside of Washington. According to my source, in the coming weeks the E15 are sending some of their member teams to China to play in exhibition games. The NCAA (who are basically indistinguishable from the E15) is said to announce this to the public here soon.

My source went on to say that Eastern China - including the provinces of  Jiangsu and Shandong have been designated as an EMAW zone. Look for EMAW merchandise and gear to start popping up here as the E15's influence takes hold.

Elite 15? It's a shame KSU won't be included. As you are actually the 16th team on the list.
( Clemson becomes the 15th one week before you guys )

This def. gives creedence to Daris' rumor the the E15 is starting their own conference. With this genius move to 16 teams, the new conference will now have a nice even number.

Way to get the scoop Rick!

This is pathetic.  You won a national championship, which is just a couple steps below being a member of E15.  Just be happy with what you have.

I have several former co-workers who attended BC.  Even a few who have the coveted "Triple Eagle" designation(BC High, BC undergrad, BC Law).  Anyway, several have told me to be in Boston, at the BC club (30th floor of downtown Boston highrise) at midnight on January 31, 2010.

Any of you guys know what is going on?

Hey guys.  Just wanted to congratulate you and welcome you to the club.  KSU actually came up the other day when we were brainstorming who would be the next team to join the truly elite level programs that have hosted both football and basketball gamedays.  Geaux Tigers and all of the E15!

Yeah, we were talking about how to address this.  It's going to be the E15 until Clemson's game then E16 when you guys host.  We are getting a cake with a powercat for the event (tiger cake for Clemson obviously lmao).  We will continue to call ourselves the E14 unless we are in the company of Wildcats and Tigers when we will say E15 out of respect (Hell, you've earned it!).  Anyway, like LUSFreak said, welcome to the club.  Isn't it great to know how much better your team/school is than the rest of the garbage programs out there?  Go get'em Wildcats and welcome to the E15!

In all honesty this may not be good for the safety of the ku players(anybody remember Rex Walters having to get stiches because ksu fans were heating up pennies and throwing them at ku players). You let those attention starved, self-esteem challenged idiots in manhattan get drunk all day after going to the morning taping of the show and it could be trouble. I don't get why the stairways at the Bram are so freaking wide. I could lay across the goddamn things. Pretty weird looking, especially in HD, IMO.

True.  But the ultra-bright white paint job has a stunning "narrowing" effect... oh wait.

I know, I know... we should try turquoise highlights to the bram...  :blindfold:
