what does everybody thing here? i pretty much think that it's kinda like being left handed. statistically, not very common (prob somewhere around 10%) and nothing that you really have a say in.

do you folks know people who are openly homosexual? i do. only really know a few though and they're not really close friends, more friends of friends. no close friends have come out, but i'm pretty sure an old roomate and good friend is. he just hasn't come out yet. tried to kinda get him to come out to me a couple of years ago but it didn't happen. does the fact that two guys wanna do each other bother you? doesn't bother me. not a bit. don't see why i should care about this. what about if you had kids and they were homosexuals? i have two boys. pretty sure the older one likes girls. too early to tell w/ the younger one. if the younger one does end up liking penises, no biggie. don't care. not sure who would pay for the wedding so potentially there is a money issue at play but whatever.

any board members homosexuals? i'm not. don't know any members that are but i'd bet that there's a bunch. if you are, what's it like to be a homsosexual ksucats fan? if you are male, who is the all time sexy ksu sports athelete? also, is homosexual the right word or should i be using a different one? tia.

thanks. also, let's keep this thread free from vulgarity and other stuff which might get it moved to a dif board. thanks again.

do you folks know people who are openly homosexual? Yes, quite a few.  Few that are kind of secretive too.  I think living in a redneck state has something to do with those that want to keep it quiet.

does the fact that two guys wanna do each other bother you? No

what about if you had kids and they were homosexuals? Meh

also, is homosexual the right word or should i be using a different one? I actually think gay is the accepted word.  At least they use it for Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Studies at the University of Nebraska.

My next door neighbors, a few years back were a lesbian couple and one of the couple's mom.

Nice people.  If you didn't know, you wouldn't know.

At KSU, we had a couple of gay guys in my fraternity.  Didn't cause any problems.

I'm sure I've worked with gay/lesbian people when I was with Sprint.  It was not an issue.  The benefits package was changed a couple of years back to allow for same-sex couples (domestic partner) to have the same benefits as married couples.  The one interesting part was a man and woman living together did not receive the same benefits.  It was explained that current law allowed them to marry, where current law did not allow gay/lesbian couples to marry.  At least in Kansas and Missouri...

I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

I know a gay couple who adopted a kid from Guadimallia (sp?) Nice guys, we also had a gay guy in our fraternity but he didn't come out until later.  I'm pretty sure there were at least 2 others but don't know where they are or if they have come out yet.

My question is, is being gay a choice or are you born that way.  I say they are born that way.  The church that I grew up in had a guy that would just ridicule gays for choosing to be gay.  I don't know about you but I do not remember the time when I chose to be straight.  Others say it's a disease like alcoholism.  But whatever.

So I guess I'm pro gays/homosexuals.

I don't know if I believe you're born with it, but if you're not I definitely don't believe it's a choice. At best/worst, it's "caused" by something or an event long before it can be chosen.

I'm not really bothered, but if I have kids, I'd much prefer them to be straight. Wouldn't disown them if not, but there would prolly be some adjustment period.

what does everybody think here? i pretty much think that it's kinda like being left handed. statistically, not very common (prob somewhere around 10%) and nothing that you really have a say in. Nothing you can say but you're not born that way. Typically it's caused by being raped by a an uncle or grandpa.  I read that somewhere.

do you folks know people who are openly homosexual? Worked with a few but wouldn't say I "knew" them that well.

does the fact that two guys wanna do each other bother you? The fact that they want to doesn't.  Seeing it or thinking about it would be  :yuck: though.

what about if you had kids and they were homosexuals? Waterboard them straight

also, is homosexual the right word or should i be using a different one? I don't give a crap what the little faggots wanna be called but I say "Gay or Homo or Butt Pirate"  Wasn't there an "ask a gay dude" skit on Chappelle Show?

I have a few (4) gay and lesbian friends, and they all come from very diverse backgrounds, from a wealthy son of a Connecticut doctor, to a poor son of a New Jersey waiter. They have all told me they always knew they were gay, even though one of the lesbians was married to a guy at one time, and one of the gay guys has had girlfriends. For them it was a choice not to be gay, but they always went back to the gay life. They all feel like they were born that way and had nothing to do with any particular experience they had growing up.

Besides, why would anyone choose to be gay? Not exactly an easy way to live

I know a few gay and lesbians people.  Some are good friends, others acquaintances.  Most are out, but a few are only out to a select group of people so they can keep their jobs.  Most of the time sexuality is rarely even a topic of conversation though.

I think it's not a choice, but not 100% genetic either.

As the dude in the Muppets Take Manhattan says:

"Peoples is peoples. No is buildings. Is tomatoes, huh? Is peoples, is dancing, is music, is potatoes. So, peoples is peoples. Okay?"

why do you guys think that you can't be born that way? seems like the most plausible explanation to me. people are born w/ a certain eye color, hair color, cleft palates, extra digits, missing digits, hearing loss, heart defects, etc. why isn't sexuality something you're born w/?

also, lots of interesting info regarding finger length in relation to sexuality, etc. that seem to suggest a relationship. not smart enough to really get into what they are inferring or whatever as i'm not very sciency. chings? randomly chosen links to support...

good stuff man. does seem like they forced the research though, like they don't want to admit it's cultural issues. we should spend more money to research this.

Think you are prob born that way.  Anyone had a prostate exam?  Heard it doesn't feel good at all, so I figure that you have to be born that way, to want "stuff" up there.  I don't think I would ever be like, hey, I think today I will stuff some stuff up there and see if it feels good, and then if it doesn't, keep trying and hoping it starts to feel good at some point.

Yep, that settles it, definately born ghey.  Not me.....or that there is anything wrong with it, just in general.

it's kind of a weird thing to study. aren't most pornstars gay? aren't most SFO'iens gay? that's culture/surrounding stuff, not genetics. that doesn't mean there isn't inheritance beyond some of the fag  population.
