great scoop pett!
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Guess it came down to KSU and Harvard for Mr. Brown right there at the end.  :blank:

Surprising how many people take the juco-Harvard route.

Are we talking Rob Thomas solo, or Matchbox 20.  Makes a huge difference imo.

Good for him for going back to school though.  And he plays football to boot?  True renaissance man.

An athletic tight end is very important in today's college football landscape. So, Brown definitely fits the bill with a 6'4 frame and 4.6 forty.

Also was a basketball player who turned down the opportunity to play tight end.

Which worked out well for Tony Gonzalez, Marcus Pollard and Antonio Gates.

if i were kstate, i would get a grad asst or a secretary or catsfan20052006 and make it their full time job to do nothing but stay in touch with juco guys that signed other places. still call them, text them, email them. check up on how they're doing. keep in touch with their family. send them flowers on their birthdays, volunteer to change their oil for them, and generally just let them know we still love them. there are always going to be a few that don't make it and the BAM!   :woot:

Email says the new Thomas that is on the team is named Darious. (sp.)  Would that be the Wisconsin kid?  Kinda hoping that his name was misheard and it's actually Derrion Thomas.  Either way, we could use a high school DE or a CB.

If it is the kid from Wisconson...he's got good size and speed for a CB coming out of highschool. Any word on why it didn't work out for him up north?

Yep, it's the Wisky kid. Looks like a pretty good prospect....

First team all-district and all-area as a senior. 50 tackles, 9 FF's, 3 Fumble recoveries, and 6 INT's. Team MVP and Captain for Cedar Hill in Texas.
