Yes, I know we are all thinking "NOT BLOODY LIKELY!" but I'm just a little bit nervous because we've been running some pretty serious (but convincing and accurate) smack this week.  Here is what worries me:

-Cosgrove is an idiot
-Callahan is a moron (see USC game...thank god Prince would never play not to lose like that)
-We have a good deal of talent (see our D stats, Patton, Freeman, Watts)
-Their D isn't good AT ALL (Pinkskirts)
-Prince could be better than Snyder (at least he's on pace to win more games than Snyder last year and these aren't even Prince's recruits)
-We should have beat NU last year in Lincoln

So if we happen to lose today to a team we should have beat last year at their house that is coached by a couple of morons, then what will that say about us?

Or maybe I'm just being paranoid?

Your a little on the paranoid side of things in my opinion. By all rights Nebraska should win this game. As long as we play a smart game without a lot of turnovers I'm ok either way with this game. I think we could very well win, depending on how smart our Freshmen play. Now if Nebraska is hitting on all cylinders it will be difficult but I'm not sure they have managed that yet? A young team that doesn't get taken out early becomes very dangerous in my opinion.  GO STATE !!!  :woohoo: :woohoo: :ksu: :ksu: :beerchug: :beerchug:

    The very best.
If we lose, no biggie.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Actually that won't help me get home at all.  You might want to ask your administrator where I live.

So if we happen to lose today to a team

Then we know that the order is restored in the B12 north.  Don't get me wrong, KSU had a nice little 10 year run there -- say, from 1995-2004 or so.  And you can always be proud of your ten years of top 15 results.  But when it comes down to it, we learned tonight that NU is still NU and KSU is still KSU.  No offense.

Much like the KSU football program athletic department.  Well, maybe dead is too strong a term.  Let's say, Terry Schiavo'd.

Or because you squeaked by a 1-AA team by what, 1 point?
Or because your 2006 recruiting is ranked #48 by Scout.com http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=173&p=9&c=14&yr=2006
Or because your 2005 recruiting is ranked #46 by scout.com http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=173&p=9&c=14&yr=2005
Or because your 2007 recruiting is ranked #43 by rivals.com http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/teamrank.asp?Year=2007&Page=2&Type=0&Sort=0
Or, most importantly, because you just hired on a head coach who is out of his depth.

Let me know what else I can help educate you on.  Always happy to help.

Did those rankings matter when KSU dominated you or is this just something new you decided was a measuring stick?   Please explain how our athletic program is dead because of recruiting class rankings.

Don't know much about your own team, do you?
In 2002, KSU had the #14 class: http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/TeamRank.asp?type=0&sort=0&year=2002
I can't find ordinal rankings for 2001 and earlier, but I'm sure the classes were higher than mid-40s.  Lots of big names there, esp. the 01 and 99 class:
http://interact.cstv.com/recruiting/searchrecruit.cfm?school_name=ksu&dbyear=00&sport=football
http://interact.cstv.com/recruiting/searchrecruit.cfm?school_name=ksu&dbyear=99&sport=football
http://interact.cstv.com/recruiting/searchrecruit.cfm (have to type in the school name)

Our recruiting was crap over the last 8 years.  Now, it's significantly better.  Our coaching was crapty over the last 8 years.  Now, it's ... well, a little bit better.  If Team A stays the same (or gets worse) and Team B improves, than Team A gets worse *with respect to* Team B.

Hope that clears things up for you.

No, but that's OK.  You're still avoiding the question.  What makes you think our program is dead and this time, stop using recruiting rankings and something more relevant.

k?, thx.

Tell me you're not really this dumb, being an admin and all.
The players you recruit are the players that end up on the field, playing football.  If those players are not as good as the top schools in the Big 12, it will be impossible to overcome that without superior coaching (the amount of superiority dispalyed by the coaching staff in inverse proportion to how much worse your recruits are).
Further, there tends to be a tipping point effect -- one bad season doesn't hurt much in recruiting, but a few bad years -- which become all the more likely with mediocre recruits -- and soon even the mediocre recruits are looking at schools like Missouri, ISU, Pitt, and other mid-level BSC conference schools.  With worse recruits, results are even worse then before.  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vicious_circle for more details.

No, pinkskirts.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.  Snyder won 9 games his last 2 seasons.  Prince will win AT LEAST 9 games in his first 2 seasons.  We'll win two more this year.

Sorry I wasn't more clear in my original post.

For being a bunch of "Pinkshirts," they sure pounded Freeman last night. You guys had a decent run, but it's over now. For being a moron and an idiot, Callahan and Cosgrove designed a good gameplan against you guys last night. Playing at home and you couldn't even score a TD.

It just feels so nice to "Restore the Order."

Look, you are entitled to your opinion even though it is wrong.  However, I have said pinkskirts as in dresses in all my posts NOT pinkshirts as in blouses.  If you are going to come over here then at least learn to read.

That's the best you've got....pinkshirts as in dresses rather than as in blouses...

apparently your team is as good at football as you are at talking trash.
