Setting concrete forms for basements. Not awful putting them in, but getting them out sucks. Working concrete in general isn't fun. :crybaby:

Was a busboy at Big Boy's Restaurant.

Also drove an ice cream truck.

I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

In like half an hour I gotta go in to Wal-Mart for my first overnight shift, will be working 10pm-7am 5 days a week. Only other job was at Arby's, which had it's ups and downs. I think this should be better.  :hope:

Wow it's between Cyclists ice cream job and Ron's trash man job. I thought IHOP was pretty bad...

I also worked at Pats Blue Rib'n. It sucked...but at least it was fun because I could get hammered.

Only had a few jobs:

Painter, Roofer, and Software Developer.

Roofer is by far the worst.

I started to LOL at this whole thread until I saw "roofer". That job legitimately sucks. There's a difference between jobs that suck because they're boring or you're allegedly underemployed, or jobs that suck because you have to do sucky things (roofer, hay hauler, assistant crack whore, etc).

I hated my job as a DC paralegal, but it was mostly just because I was frustrated with what I believed to be my "under-employment." As jobs go, it really wasn't that bad.

Abercrombie...  :suicideispainless:

Drove the catering van for Hy-Vee  :Driving:. Which could have been worse, but when business was slow I would get stuck working in the kitchen... It's been 4-5 years but I would recommend not eating at the Hy-Vee kitchen on Shawnee Mission Pkwy.  :barf:

deli? sliced meat place? chinese? salad bar? v. interested as MHK is adding a Hi-V soon.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Salad bar and restaurant(if that is what you want to call it).  Chinese was connected with our section but they had their own set of staff.

Grain elevator during summer.  Climbing hundreds of feet in the air, shoveling out boot pits etc.  definantly worst job ever.  Close second was at McCall's in Manhattan I lasted a week.

Washed dishes at Little Apple Brew for a month or so, also made the donuts at DK's on Tuttle.  FYI, the cake donuts are made the night before.  Worst job was in HS when I worked at a park and had to pick up trash and clean bathrooms.  People do some pretty bad stuff to a park bathrooms. :'byecruelworld:

    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
farmhand...Helped lay and pull irigation pipe out of 9 foot tall corn fields in the middle of summer. Inside the pipe was nasty water that had been sitting there for about a month. To get it out of the field you had to hold the 20 foot pipe above your head and walk out, which means your arms get cut up all to sh*t. All this while it is 100 degrees out and no wind.

Wal-mart is a close second....

putting up hay!  100 degrees Putting it in the hay loft sucks no breeze at all and dusty, coughing sneezing.  Your blowing dirt out of you nose for weeks after putting up hay.  Oh and your shoulders and back hurt for awhile too.  But as my dad always said it build character.

QFT on the hay hauling. Grew up on a farm, and it was one of several jobs that consistently inspired me to study hard.

Used to hate cleaning out the grain bins, too. Rotten grain is unbelievably gross. Almost worse than cleaning out the pit beneath the scales.

Did the school janitor and McD's thing one time, too.  Not that bad.  Except when you had to change the big trash can in the retarded kids room (diapers).

I have worked in a bunch of restaurants

McAlisters
Quiznos
Jimmy Johns

Quiz and Jimmy in Manhattan

Working in food service sucks because the customers are a-holes and so are the managers.

McAlisters was by far the worse. I rarely got breaks, didn't get to keep tips and the manager was a douchenozzle

Food service jobs are cake (except dishwasher).  The hardest job I had involved doing yard work in the summer.  The most boring job I had was filling tiny baggies with grain samples and stapling these little bags to pieces of paper, for the International Grain Program at KSU... several hours a day... five days a week.  Mind-bogglingly boring.  Both jobs sucked in different ways.
