What the hell has happened since my plane crash?
The last I knew, Dr. Tom was the coach, we hadn't lost to K-State in twenty-some years, we ran a power-I formation, and the stadium at KSU was about 10K seats smaller.
Now, I come back to find that K-State fans have gone from classy to totally classless and in the process have begun to drag the Husker fans down the same path. But, I suppose it's easy to be classy when one side wins all the time, but I digress.
So, clearly TO "got out while the gettin' was good" seeing as how K-State has now won 5 of the last 8 including the last four in Manhattan. Hell, even my ghost couldn't stave off the lone win in Lincoln... 38-9!??!!? What a woodshed beating!!!
At any rate, I'm back and really don't understand all the furor over the mere statement of fact that I had passed (which is something I was never allowed to do at NU, by the way). On the other hand, maybe it's just good for the rivalry. I mean, look what it did for the Colorado rivalry when our classy fans made those classy signs that said, "Sal is Dead, Go Big Red"...
