Rivals.com has reported that Carl said Kansas coach Bill Self and assistant coach Danny Manning are headed to Oklahoma City, Okla.

jfc, Bill.  You go with kurtis, not Danny.   kurtis is the bag man.  IIRC, both Julian and Shady after visits from Billy and kurtis and "praying" about it, had changes of heart and chose ku.

How are you feeling about these two chowder heads right now?  Christ, your HC and AC are on a plane bound for OKC to beg a couple of alleged one-and-doners to please come to ku.

Sure, it's Doug Compton's plane, and there is likely no depletion of ku athletic department resources over this escipade....but, you are busting your ass in on-campus workouts, slumming it at the Jayhawk Towers (complete craphole, btw), taking classes, and generally doing stuff with your summer that you'd rather not do...would you be fired up to play with these two?

The rumor is Carl is telling former ku buddies that he's pissed about the pay cut from Memphis to ku . . . no doubt tonight's meeting will be about ku closing the salary gap between them and what Calipari was/is offering at Memphis/Kentucky.

If only the oil slick these two schools will combine to create could be in some way refined and sold as gasoline.

Lew had better make some amends to Doug for not including Doug in the Fieldhouse rennovation work...I would guess that Doug isn't too happy about being asked to cough up large sums yet again after being excluded from such a big gig.
