I apologize in advance for actually using statistics and facts on this board, but I found this little tidbit somewhat amusing..

NU ranks 54th in TOTAL DEFENSE.
NU ranks 95th in SACKS.
NU ranks 55th in TACKLES FOR LOSS.

KSU ranks 27th in TOTAL DEFENSE.
KSU ranks 17th in SACKS.
KSU ranks 9th in TACKLES FOR LOSS.

Both D's are fairly even in RUSH DEFENSE (KSU 30/NU 35)
Both D's are fairly even in PASS EFFICIENCY D (NU 40/KSU 44)
Both D's are fairly even in SCORING D (NU 25/KSU 28)

Let the spinning begin!!!

NU was playing real teams like USC while KSU was playing pansies like...uh, Louisville (total offense leader).  Whoops.

NU played the offensive juggernaut that is ku (#34 total offense) and ISU (#59 total offense) while KSU played OSU (#29 total offense) and Baylor (#75 total offense).  Nope.

NU played steller non-con opponents like La Tech (#84 total offense), Nicholls State (#102 total offense), and Troy (#107 total offense).  Meanwhile, KSU was playing patsies like Marshall (#78 total offense) and Florida Atlantic (#111 total offense).

Come on guys... Everyone knows stats don't mean anything this early in the year... They don't really start to form an accurate picture until January.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Great post rollin. crap like that doesn't lie.

Unfortunately...our offense blows.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

There is zero argument that can be made that NU has a better defense than us.

How many points do you think we'd score if we played ourselves?

Here are some interesting stats....NU 21....KSU 3
NU is ranked #17 in the BCS rankings, KSU is unranked.

NU is 6-1, with their only loss to #2 USC.
KSU is 4-3, with losses to Baylor, Louisville, and Nebraska, and
wins against Illinois State, Florida Atlantic, Marshall and Oklahoma State (hardly quality competition).

Nice to Restore the Order and put the Purple Kittens from that trailer park called Manhattan back in their place.

Maybe if we considered UNL a rival like you guys do for KSU we could have done a little better. Shucks
