That's a very big deal. Thomas and Ferguson are two top-10 players in the nation. A couple years ago Deshaun Thomas had the hype of being the next LeBron James.

Nice.  Tony is one of only 19 high school players invited.

According to Rivals, 7 five stars and 8 four stars also in attendance.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him start moving up some rankings lists this summer.

Just announced the list for the Vince Carter Nike Skills Camp.  Tony was invited.  Pretty elite list.  Perry Ellis also going to be there as bbhoops mentioned the other day.

Would love to get one of these,

Breakout star of the camp: Tony Mitchell. "This Kansas State commit, had a breakout week at the camp, averaging 19.1 points per game. This 6'8 swing man dominated the game when he was in and even secured a commitment from teammate Perry Ellis to the Wildcats."

wut.

HUGE wingspan on Tony!!

Mitchell's wingspan is 86" or 7'2".  By comparison...

Dwight Howard 7'4
Darrell Arthur 6'10
Beasley 7'0.25"
Aleks Maric 7'1
Andrew Bogut 7'3
Sean May 7'1.25"
Wayne Simien 7'0
Hakim Warick 7'2 (remember his alien long arms?  ku's last second shot attempt remembers)
Blake Griffin 6'11.25"

This, coupled w/ Elite camp reports, makes me feel much better about Mitchell.

nice to see.  and great catch by 'hatter on the wingspan.

the 1 of 19 talking point is retarded though.

was there anything specific about the Elite camp reports, yosh?  I heard the coaches were impressed with him, but was there anything in particular?  Feel free to PM if necessary.

The other 18 make up a very impressive list.  All of the other 18 are top 100 recruits.  Mitchell is either way out of his league at that camp, or much better than he is getting credit for.

Not really.  Just multiple sources saying he was impressive.

Agreed.  Extremely retarded.

It's pretty obvious they invite just about anyone that can dribble a basketball to this thing.  Wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a couple homeless guys out of the subways.

Not as nice as this.  Who do you think he resembles naked?  I say anyone from hatter's list because he's obviously a lot like those guys.

yes, it says in very round terms that mitchell is viewed by nike scouts as a top 100ish player.

though i'd be interested in seeing how many of the 80ish invites play for non-nike aau teams.
