    Hey, basketball!!!
Update: Freeman has absolutely no EMAW in him. So please never put emaw & Freeman together in the same sentence ever again.

The kid has been bashing us left and right since he left campus...

Freeman > Sparkles
"When Beasley dunked in the second half to make it a 12-point game, that was the loudest moment I’ve ever experienced at a college hoops game - Allen Fieldhouse included.”

The motherfracker should be bashing that snakeoil salesman Ron Prince... EMAWnation had nothing to do with his performance. If he is bashing his only true fans may he succumb to a Thiesman hit to the lower leg. Oh, perhaps he would have been better off at nubb.

Not sure how saying USC and Georgia are high profile programs is throwing us under the bus?!?!  If he is announced as being from Grandview High School, that would be throwing us under the bus.
Here's the latest out of Tampa:

Rookie Freeman could contend for Bucs' starting QB

TAMPA - As they brought their offseason workout program to a close Wednesday the Bucs sent a seemingly ominous message to quarterbacks Luke McCown and Byron Leftwich: watch out for Josh Freeman.

McCown and Leftwich are still the leading contenders for the starter's job, but the Bucs now say they won't hesitate to throw Freeman into that race if he continues to show the progress he's shown in recent weeks.

"We discussed the Freeman plan [last week] and decided we'll probably go a week into training camp and revisit it and maybe expedite what he's doing,'' quarterbacks coach Greg Olson said. "We may get him involved earlier than we thought.''

Freeman's involvement to this point has been limited. As was the case during voluntary workouts, he saw very little playing time with the first- and second-team offenses during minicamp drills. That could change once training camp gets going.

"When he first got here he was forcing the football too much,'' Olson said of Freeman, the Bucs' first-round draft pick out of Kansas State. "If shows he's progressing as far as the decision-making goes, then shoot, why not?

"If he's comfortable in there, he throws a great ball, he's accurate and if he's not turning the ball over, then gosh, maybe he will be ready to play [this year].''

The Bucs originally planned to have Freeman watch from the sidelines this year and that plan hasn't changed. Freeman, however, has given them reason to believe it could change.

"He's pushing the envelope,'' Bucs coach Raheem Morris said of Freeman. "And the other guys are pushing back. But that's what you want. You want guys pushing each other. You want that competition everywhere on the field.''

Josh Freeman = Ryan Leaf ?
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

    warm up the EMAW
Well Skip Bayless is a big fan.  I'm sure this will end up well.

If I were a Tampa Bay Buccs fan I would be repeatedly punching myself in the face right now.  Just right straights to my own face like a drunk, confused, sweaty, greasy Bob Huggins.

all the skills are there, he didnt have the best blocking here or the best defense.  i think he'll end up being an above average nfl qb.  unfortunate he has the skip bayless curse

Josh Freeman = Ryan Leaf ?

He won't be that bad. Ryan Leaf was just a complete jackass. Freeman is a jackass but not a complete jackass.

I have Insider but my Copy and Paste isn't working. Here it is in summary:

It says that he might start the season opener. Their QB coach, Greg Olsen, told the Tampa newspaper that "it's not out of the question". Apparently there was a meeting where all of the coaches discussed the "Josh Freeman Plan" which includes the possibility of starting him sooner than expected. Coach Morris said that he wouldn't be surprised. Luke McCown and Byron Leftwich have done little to set themselves apart from Freeman.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I'm just bitter he left us with nothing but Coffman in the cupboard.

As soon as Harper starts playing I'll forget about him.
