Apps is the gayest concept ever.  F*ck you, feeble minded Apple lovers.  It's just another brand.  It's not f*cking magic.

    Wait...what?
My iPhone 3GS showed up on my doorstep Friday.  Absolutely blows the WinMo HTC and the Blackberry I'd used previously out of the water.

Re the new features:  Compass is nice to have in conjunction with Maps...points you in the right direction.  Video is adequate and the autofocus camera is fun to use.  It's also fun to use the voice controls with the iPod.

Web surfing experience is far and away better than WinMo or Blackberry.  Used the US Open app over the weekend...pretty neat to watch the live coverage on my phone.

What's it like having the only phone that doesn't have flash support? Personally, I love taking dumps at work and watching Hulu.

I'm confused, I see a lot of iPhone posts, but I figured this thread would be about the Palm Pre.

I did too.  Just got the Touchstone for it today.  Now, that is elite.     No more shoving a stupid plug into my phone to charge it.  That sh*t is for peasants.

If it was about the Pre, I would have called it "Hey, lame-tards who want to rebel and get a sh*t phone, post here"

You should get an iPhone if you. . .

love having to stare at your phone while texting

Hate multitasking.

Hate extra money.

LOVE waiting for websites to load.

like having to jailbreak your phone to get anything cool out of it.

Love having the same phone as everyone else.

Hate being Elite.

Any way I can get the Pre and not be stuck with Sprint's horrific network and multiple dead spots?

What network are you calling horrific, voice or data? Voice, depends on where you are. But Sprint's data network is outstanding, and AT&T's is retarded bad by comparison.

Dropped calls across the street from their world headquarters.  Forced me to cancel from Sprint.  AT&T is 10x better.  My Instinct data netwrok sucked horrifically as well.  The gps never worked, anywhere.  Maybe it is better now but a year ago it was comically bad.  There is a reason they are hemmoraging customers even though they have the best pricing.

Sprint =  :flush:

Palm Pre is pretty cool, I played with one for a while.  Similar to my elite iphone, but not better.

The only way anyone will beat Steve is if he got someone from microsofts kidneys and they made him dumb.

Sprint service in rural surrounding areas/Junction was ridic bad on my cheapie phone, has been slightly better with bberry.

My data services with my berry curve have been bad.  GPS only works on secondary apps, never the sprint ones.

Will wait to judge until I've had it a month or two, but tha intrawebs has been slower than I hoped.

Of course Sprint sucks in rural areas. So does AT&T. Verizon has the market cornered on that, especially around here after they acquired Alltel.

What did you do, wrap your phone in aluminum foil? I've never had a problem in KC, Wichita, or any major highway. Ever.

You are the exception then.  I want Sprint to do well as much as the next guy but their crapty network is proven by the fact they are losing millions of customers a year.
