Uggh... can't wait to get home to d-load it!!!

Questions:  How long did the d-load take?
What, if anything has jumped out at you?

i started downloading it and then ate some lunch, so i don't know how long it took.

i like landscape texting, makes the buttons bigger.

voice memo could be handy

if you move to the left of your home screen, you can search your phone.

It's pretty sweet...  I downloaded mine when I was home at lunch... I started it around 12:25 and was done with it and back at work at 1:07 (two minute drive)...

I'm not sure what I will use the search function for, but I think it could be useful sometime...  I also like the landscape texting and the voice memo...

Yeah, that's what the S stands for in the new model.

After downloading and installing 3.0 it took me a while to activate the phone.  Kind of a hassle.  But it seems ok.

a buddy of mine always uses a "hack" thingie and can get more cool apps, like a video app.  i will probably have him do it to my phone, even if it breaks the warranty.

eh, i'm in video production, so i'm a video geek.  would have thought that something that basic would have been included from the very beginning.  I'm assuming that after the new-ness of the 3G S wears off, they'll put video in an update.

Yeah, so spotlight search is really pretty cool.  Very useful and easy to use.

Nothing else really stands out.  Copy and Paste is a "what took you so long" feature, and everything else is just kind of okay.

the 3GS is nothing more than Apple's little dick syndrome shining through.

Sprint launches the Pre with multitasking, Apple introduces "cut and paste".  LMAO  :flush:

iPhone elitists don't have to resort to name calling.  Obviously little brother (pre, bberry, etc...) have to.  :crybaby:

I've done this to my iPhone.  Its glorious.  Still haven't updated to 3.0 yet though... Will do in the next day or two.  Already have had the pleasure of using the search function and this...

That is the MO of Apple, always has been.  Even with their desktop OS they will release trivial items that should have been included with the OS to begin with and charge $129.  I like the names they give them to. Backup? Yeah, we call that "TIME CAPSULE".  Search? "Spotlight!!"

ya I agree saul but to an extent I like having a different take on the personal computer world then what MS forces down people's throat.

timecapsule- gay name, awesome concept and execution.

I've been really happy with my iMac so far although i'm no where near the level of expertise in terms of usage as I was with a PC
