he gets a buyout if he's terminated without cause.
he doesn't get a buyout if he's terminated with cause.
he doesn't get a buyout if he's not terminated.
with the mess our athletic dept is in, it would be difficult to not have cause to fire everyone that's ever worked near it.

now, chill the frack out.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

We'll refuse to pay it and will have a law suit on our hands, and will settle either way for half or so.

Whatever good things Wefald did are dead to me. His affirmative action hire of the fraud is what started all of this. He makes me sick. I'd like to take them both out back and beat the sh@t out of them.

A buddy of mine from GC who has to frequently interact with Finney County wealthy industrialists and wind farmers bought some cowboy boots when we were in OKC on Memorial Day weekend.  Ostrich skin.  There was a LONG discussion over how well those would go over.  So far all reports are that Finney Countians are down with the ostrich.

Quote
“If the termination were deemed to be not ‘for cause,’ then they would essentially be paying him as if he were an employee until June 14, 2013,” Fincher said. “Under the agreement, it’s not really clear what ‘for cause’ means in this instance. “Lots of times employers, for purposes of certainty, will want to very clearly define what a ‘for cause’ event means. Otherwise, you leave it to the courts or some other arbiter to figure out whether or not the termination event was truly for cause or without cause.”

So what was the cause? They flat out said it wasn't for disciplinary reasons if I remember correctly.

Pay up Bish.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I think it's going to be hard to cite "cause" after Currie himself made the following statement:

Quote
"What I can tell you is all I can tell you," Currie said in a telephone interview. "The second sentence of our statement is pretty instructive."

The second sentence states, "This decision is not based upon any concerns about misconduct on the part of either individual."

Epps has not been terminated.  he is on suspension.  the reason for the suspension is to allow Currie to investigate the past events that occurred, not because of insubordination.  Currie is correct in his assertion that Epps is on suspension for reasons other than disciplinary reasons.  Currie has not commented on anything beyond Epps' suspension.   the ultimate reason Currie uncovers as to why the events occurred may be cause for Epps' termination at which time Currie will have the pass he needs to do what needs to be done without worrying about paying Epps a dime.

logic, use it.  he can't say Epps was insubordinate before being able to prove it.
