It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    Hey, basketball!!!
funny thing is only 4 of them were seniors.

Then you add in McGraw who fills in for Chapman in 2000 and add TP in the LB core.

How did we lose three games in '00?

WTF ever happened to Holloman?  Dude was pretty &@#%ing good.  Would have figured he would have at least spent some time on a practice squad somewhere.

'99 was an awesome season. Preseason people said we would be way down and we go 11-1. Great comeback wins and total destruction of most everyone at home. Beat Neuheisel in Holiday Bowl to top it off.

1997 11-1   6-0  Home
1998 11-2   7-0  Home
1999 11-1   7-0  Home

Big 12 Record 22-3

Are you referring to the chip-shot field goal that CU missed in the final seconds vs. NU in '99?  Yes, I even had NU fans come up to me and say they didn't deserve to win that game.  Should have been us destroying Texas again in the championship game that year.

i think nu in 2000 was better than 1999.

inexcusable to have that kind of roster and not win the north. but...that was the situation in the late 90's w/NU being the monster they were.

NU in 1999 was pretty salty.  Only one loss all season.  Dominated then-undefeated KSU in mid-November.  Dominated Texas in the championship game.  Destroyed their bowl opponent.  Finished 3rd in the country and fractions away from playing in the BCS championship game instead of undefeated VT.

If jerametrius butler wouldn't have left early, the next season would have been Butler on one side and TNew on the other- WOW

It was a DAMNED fine feeling though - wasn't it. I remember always thinking we had a great chance to win all the games we played in and I was very disappointed when we lost. Now, I just hope we can hold on with the LA LA's of the world. Never has there been a better example of going from sugar to $h!t.  :blank:

Yeah, used to get crushed after a loss. Like moped for the better part of the week. Now, it's like "meh". Pathetic really.

Remember going to church after the Marshall loss and the Pastor even said something about being able to tell K-State had lost.

Good lord, I want us to be good again.  Seeing stuff like this makes me ache.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

that was back when if you lost one game the entire year you'd play in the Holiday or Alamo.

Now these teams can lose four games and still land the Alamo. Football has really become pussified.

even an "okay" ku team in '07 was given a gift by big Lew.
