yes.  used to be afraid to (thought it was one step from the gutter).  but then i realized that i was socializing just to drink.  which seemed stupid.  so, surrendered to the inevitable.

I'll have a beer or maybe two by myself at home.  That's it.  In college, I'd go out by myself and be able to bump into people I knew.  Sometimes, I'd have to have a few by myself at the bar before that happened.  Does that count?

I never used to because I'd feel uncomfortable drinking and being alone.  But then I started putting Walker red in my dog's water dish and now I'll never drink alone again!    <-- except put a dog on this side.

Whoa there.  I'm talking about bored, it's the weekend, crappy weather out, wifey in bed early, etc.  Not going out by yourself, I'd never do that.

I didn't just start going out by myself.  But when you go out a lot with friends, you get to know other people who go out a lot.  Then, it's like they become your friends, too, and you can expect to see at least some of them out on any given night.  Kinda like Cheers.  Except much sexier.  Good times.
