Found the real thing (stadium/arena concessions grade) today at Dillon's, over by the fancy cheeses in the deli area. It was only $0.75 for about 1/3 lb. So much better than the crap in a jar on the chip isle. Did anyone else know they had this?

Yep.  They also have it in Hyvee and Hen House in the mexican food isle.

If you look around, you can actually find the disposable plastic containers with the separate cheese and chip sections.  Add a ton of pickled jalapeņo peppers and it's as good as the ball park.

Only you can have non-stale chips.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Yeah I bought the big can one time, and before I could get 1/4 of it eaten it got all moldy in the refrigerator and had to throw it out.

At the price you pay for a big can, that's still a huge bargain!

I would guess since it is not really cheese, it would probably freeze OK? :dunno:

Cheese freezes just fine.  At least the blocks of cheddar from Sam's do.  Now, canned, processed cheese.... hmmmm.  I can't imagine it would do that well.  With a can that size, it would be worth experimenting.  If the experiment goes south, then you'd never miss the cup or two of cheese with which you experimented.

did NOT.  it's cheap though, only $15 for that whole can of 96 ounces/ 8 lbs of .

problem is that i couldn't figure out how to store it once it's opened.  sadly, there isn't a litany of cherry cone dip storage info on the web yet and wolfram alpha hadn't launched until just recently.  :dunno:

also might let him know about the anti-cherry dip movement that's spread across DQ's in the KC metro.  only found one store in my area (the one on SW Blvd) that even sells cherry anymore. lucky for moi it's the closest to my crib.  unlucky for moi is that i bet rats drink/piss in it at night, the place is grizoss.  still worth it tho, just an imo.
