I think they played to win but lost anyway.  Is that a valid answer? :ksu:

They played to win, but ended up sucking.

That very much equates to losing to USC.

This place is a goddamn Romper Room that is quickly boring me, much like their sucky, tradition-less program and assortment of tin plated trophies.

Well, when I was chatting up Ron Prince over sardines and RC Cola he told me they had about 10-12 first round picks on their team.  When you face that sort of talent you have no choice but to play to win.  I was happy to get out of there with a 14 point loss.  Just goes to show what kind of job Prince has done in Manhattan so far.  I dont think you'll see another team go into Waco and be within 14 points of them this season.  Freeman had some bad luck.  Every time he dropped back the Baylor fans on one side of the stadium would gasp which made for a big left to right wind in the stadium.  Funny, their fright is what made them win.  Freeman cant compete with that.  He's only one man.

Correction.  You said trophies.  I believe that should read trophy.

Doesn't the Copper Bowl give out a can of baked beans and a 9 volt?
