Sorry if this has already been posted.  Brown was dismissed from Butler a few nights before the spring game.  Superstar syndrome.  Doubtful Snyder will have anything to do with him.

That would be no reason Snyder wouldn't go after the kid.  Snyder is notorious for recruiting the shady types.  It's one of his best qualities imo.  Now, we may not go after him for other reasons (ie. will never qualify).

From what I heard he would pull himself out of practice and then go back in when he wanted.  Show up late or not practice in the mornings then expect to be the man in the afternoon practice.  The bad thing about it is I heard he gained almost 10 yards everytime he carried the ball in practice.  Was smoking fast.

Snyder will still take the kid if he can qualify.  Problem is without the structure of football and coaches making him go to class and also without the beneift of a athletic scholarhip I seriously doubt he keeps his grades up and stays in school.  Maybe we can try to place him at another juco.

Odd.  Especially considering that Butler canceled their spring game.

Any rumblings on new parties featuring him?  Now that it is closer to home, I'd be inclined to attend.

Maybe he was too busy playing basketball for the Pistons?

*edit- Didn't realize he was with the Pistons now.

I flat out don't get the "Snyder loves thugs/superstars" thinking.

Uhhh...Daniel Davis...Marvin Simmons...Derrick Evans (< huge loss)...

We may have had a fair amount (who doesn't?) but they weren't getting to play or getting multiple chances to stay on the team...

Frankly, it's one of Snyder's faults.

lol. bishop was nowhere near a thug. unless you're the type of guy who thinks that all black people are thugs, in which case the guy was a total thug.

Yeah, Bishop was a nice regular guy.

bishop used to play manhattan rec softball out at annenberg. i played on a team that split and the half that i didn't go with had him on their team.  matt miller and jaime mendez used to play out there too. mendez is the fastest home to first softball player i've ever seen. amazingly fast.

We played them in rec basketball.  Clams was on their team iirc (though I don't remember him being there so possibly made up).

he probably was on the team and just didn't show. he was a total book nerd in college. always studying at hale (farrell) library and the union (third floor). i was always like "clams, why don't you ever come out with us and have fun? We're going to luckys tonight" and he was always "having fun won't get me into grad school daris."

Mendez was an elite grocery shopper at westloop Dillons.  Knew where everything was, never had to ask where any item is.  Did the reverse loop so he got his cold items last.

Yeah, because my post was about race.  And I never said Bishop wasn't a nice guy.  I went to school at the same time as Bishop and hung out with him numerous times.  Did you?  How many times did you actually speak to the guy?  Ever?  I was alluding to the fact that he was barely able to qualify and did think he was a superstar.  Don't go accusing people of dumbass crap.

1.  You're lying out of your ass

2.  What does "barely able to qualify" and thinking you are a superstar have to do with being a thug?  You are either a racist or incapable of following the thread.  Either clean your sheet and hood or read the above posts again and apologize to all of us for your dumbassedness.

in terms of "thug" ksu quarterbacks under snyder.... i would say that watson, smargiasso, may, and maybe (debatable) even matt miller were all more "thuggish". not surprising that you don't.

Poor algebra skills = thug?

and did think he was a superstar.

He was, so why shouldn't he?

Let's get back on topic, friends.

one more problem here though friend, pete freaking jelovic thought he was more of a superstar than bishop did... so even that argument doesn't float.

it's like i'm playing cards with my sisters kids around here.
