Seriously, how much of an idiot is Floyd? Personally handing out a white envelope full of cash to buy a player?

Credit where credit is due, you've got to admire a guy like Bill Self who goes about things the right way. If you're going to pay out a large sum of money to a recruit or a player, at least make sure it's properly laundered and for Pete's sake be smart enough to filter the money through a couple intermediaries before it gets to the handlers.
Hypothetically speaking of course. If you were a prominent, high profile basketball coach, and you had a player, let's call him Merron Follins. And you were to try and prevent this player from declaring for the NBA draft. Hypothetically, it would be far more sensible to use say a prominent Lawrence real estate developer and major ku booster that happens to have seats a few rows behind you on the bench to handle the delivery of money to said player's handler than to personally do it yourself and take the chance of getting caught.
Again, hypothetically speaking.
