Interesting things I kinda knew but enjoy the stats for:

-Les Miles had a .500 conference record
-Frank Solich won 68.8% of his conference games back when the Big 12 was the best conference in the country and got fired.  NU retards worship Bo Pelini and he has won 62.5% of his Big 12 games while the Big 12 is probably the 5th best conference.

Snyder Facts:
Most Big12 Championships played in?  Snyder is 2nd active and 3rd overall
Most Wins?  Snyder is 3rd active AND overall
Best conference winning percentage?  Snyder is 3rd active

Also, great opportunity for Barnett haters (retards) to see that he played in more Big 12 title games than Snyder.

Only in America can a wife-beating, NCAA rule violating unsuccessful coach (.393 winning percentage) make over 2 million a year. Aint it great! :fatgino:

Like I keep saying this will be the year that Mangino gets to prove that 2007 wasn't a fluke.

If he doesn't pull it off, I believe his days at ku are numbered, considering how much he is disliked inside their athletic department.

If he gets fired would Bill consider bringing him back in the fold as an ST or maybe TE coach?  He seems to do well with Bill guiding him.  Or is the cheating stain on Mangino too great?

Thx. But yeah dude the only way the big man leaves the Kansas football program is if:

1. Kansas has like 3-5 losing seasons in a row. (not likely to happen)

2. The NCAA comes down on Kansas like death penalty style. (also not likely to happen)

3. Dude has a heart attack. (Ok...this might happen)

4. Some other university takes a chance on him and tries to lure him away from Lawrence (I'm skeptical).

If the athletic department fired him because people don't like his personality, they'd be colossal dumbasses and would get torn apart by angry mobs or something. You keep people who have resurrected your football program working for your football program, even if they're kinda dickish (Snyder).

Then again, I have this feeling you're fishing here :royals:

Not Fishing . . . Mangino is not liked at all by the rank and file administrative staff at ku, and Lew pretty much tolerates him . . . for now.

Albeit ku finally building a completely sepearte football office may have helped alleviate the disdain those over on the AFH side of campus have for the man.

Lew's not stupid. He may be a mothaf*ckin gangsta who pretty much prices me out of any trip to Lawrence because I'm a poor as hell college student, but he's not stupid. He'll tell the rank and file "too f*cking bad" until the man starts losing consistently, then if what you say is true he might be forced out. The university absolutely needs a good to very good football program, and if you force out the guy that can consistently bring you that just because people don't like him then you're acting with a level of irrationality not seen since Solich was forced out at NU. I don't see Lew doing that.

Didn't say anything about Mangino getting fired if he continues to win . . . but pretty soon going .500 in conference all the time, and not proving that 2007 WAS NOT a fluke won't be enough . . . and couple that with the general dislike by many for Mangino and his "perpetual a$$hole" personality, well, you figure it out.

.500 in conference won't get him fired. Unless he does it for like...10 straight years. Now, going 3-5, 2-6 in conference for a few years...then yeah. If Kansas keeps going to bowls, then Mangino will stick around.

So, let me get this straight (pun intended) in 2007 - Squaktards were talking BCS championship a-comin' and now it is as long as we just make bowls 'Gina will be safe. I am lost, is it striving for greatness or settling for mediocraty? Look, if the fat man continues his a$$hole ways and middle of the road crap, he's out. If you think otherwise, your are a dumba$$.

i am expecting a North Title and a strong showing in the B12CG, maybe even a win if someone could break both of Sam's legs.  I am expecting a big bowl game again this year.   :hope:
According to ku police reports, the fight involved as many as 100 people.
“We’re pretty sure an incident occurred,” said Capt. Schuyler Bailey, ku Public Safety Officer
“We will handle any discipline regarding this incident internally, and we will have no further comment about it.” Perkins

would rather have a cotton bowl trophy, in all honesty.

How bout if he goes .393 in conference for 7 years?   Dude has to go 6-2 in conference for the next three years just to reach .500 in conference.

Snyder was only .454 after his first 7 years in conference.
