Just like in 1989, I will not ask you for financial support, be we do need you to 'be there.' You may not like all that you see, but our players and I will love seeing you in the stadium. You do not need us, but we desperately need you.

Again, as I stated in the very beginning ('89'), many say 'build it and they will come.' At Kansas State it is just the opposite. And in the early 90's you came out and shortly thereafter we had a program that you were proud of. The Kansas State faithful were the foundation of nearly two decades of success. Those players and I recognized that and will be forever grateful.

We upgraded from a scooter to a 1983 VW Jetta. It used to be the crap, but now it'll just get us from point a to point b and keep us warm. Definitely better than a scooter, but it's not exactly the best on the lot.
