    The very best.
these things are halarious

Quote
"We've just come off a five-day break in which our coaches visited over 120 schools on a three-day recruiting venture and the players focused more diligently on their school work, strength and conditioning drills while also enjoying a little free time," said head coach Bill Snyder.

"Getting back to the practice field on Monday and Wednesday was a rude awakening. We were not at the same performance level as we were before the break, although I have seen some improvement in most of our special teams units. One of our major issues has been, and continues to be, the focus and intensity with which we practice. The final six practices will involve a great emphasis on that same practice intensity we are lacking, along with improvement on fundamentals, learning assignments, execution and gaining confidence in their performance."
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Each & every update is the same....

Translation: I'm stuck with these Prince players that are total FP's. But it's no big deal because my staff and I can't recruit worth a damn anyway. So I will just stick with trying to "coach-up" these youngsters.

gaining confidence in their performance."

always lol when a coach says this. Basically it means that even the kids don't believe they can possibly be worth a damn at college football. You think Pete Carroll has to convince his team that they're good enough to win?
"Unless you're a ku fan you don't want to watch a game at the fieldhouse. You'll never see more home cooking in your life. The last game I watched there Larry got the boot and I didn't blame him a bit. Only ball game I've ever walked out on in my life, besides, the facility is a piece of ****."

I wonder if they taught them what exactly football is yet. Like the general rules and objectives of the game. You know, stuff like scoring and not letting the other team score.

It's way to early for this complicated stuff now, wait until fall and OB MIGHT let them try a forward pass!!

I don't know how many of you have read "They said it couldn't be done" but thats the first thing Mr. Snyder and Jansson talk about is confidence in the players.

this thread looks like something from the phog.

our chances aren't good at all that our team is going to make a bowl but at least give this staff a chance.

    IT'S DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL!!!
Gotta like the three-day recruiting venture.  It's probably something that didn't happen during his first go round.

No joke.  If Synder would have just put the hours in the first time we might have had a winner on our hands.

Very true.  As evident by the wealth of talent brought in during his last few years.

I figure by the time snyder does get all the players he wants in his system it will be time for him to retire anyways
It's a tremendous challenge here. I think it has the opportunity for the greatest turnaround in college football. It is not one to be taken lightly. ---------- Bill Snyder ( Nov 30th, 1988)
