I pay attention, when you youngsters mention bands that you like, if I don't already know about them, I check them out . . . and 95% of the time, they absolutely blow.

The other thing I am getting tired of is somewhat decent bands sucking after a couple of albums . . . as an old Fart I liked the Foo Fighters first couple of albums, now ,  a couple of years back, I hear Scott Weiland and Slash gotta band, Velvet Revolver.   So I say WTF, I liked STP's first couple of albums, always thought Weiland had fairly interesting voice, lets check it out . . .  . 

Linkin Park . . . meh, Avenge Sevenfold . . . meh, Oasis . . . . 1st couple of albums were kind of fun, now meh . . . Nickelback . . . 
Blue October . . . meh . . .

Kings of Leon are &@#%ing amazing.  Their old stuff takes bit of an acquired taste, but it's still great. 

What about Blue October don't you like?  I ask 'cause a lot of my friends hate them but, personally, I think that Justin Furstenfeld is an amazing songwriter.
