Firefox is set to default to a dialup connection so it will only download up to 4 things at a time, there is a way to change that IF YOU HAVE A HIGH SPEED INTERNET CONNECTION to download 30 things at a time, it's amazing the difference it makes in browser speed. Here's How:WARNING: This tip requires you to make changes to the way FireFox works and if not performed properly can cause performance issues. If I have not scared you off yet, here are the steps to tell FireFox to download multiple items on a page at once, instead of one at a time:- In the address bar, type “about:config” and hit return. Next, in the filter field, type “network.http” and change the following settings(double-click on them to change them):Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to 30. This will allow it to make 30 requests at once, if you see a reduction in performance, reduce it to 20, etc. Finally, right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0". This new value is the amount of time the browser waits (0) before it responds to the information that it receives.Close the browser and then re-open it to see the performance improvement!Enjoy!
