E-mail tells me that Crabtree just confirmed Newtown will be the highest ranked JUCO player in the country, will visit OU and said "I've gotten the impression from a source at Blinn that K-State might not get a visit from Newton, but haven't been able to confirm from the player directly".

E-mail also said the dumbass GP writer who was quoting Mike Hayes about K-State being number #1 for Cam Newton is indeed a gullible dumbass.

We'll be fine with or without Cam.

Yes, we all want KSU to get the absolute best player at the most crucial position. But didn't Snyder say that he was comfortable with KSU's QB position going in to off season workouts and Spring Ball? KSU will have Lamur, Harper, and Klein at that position. Yes, they are all unproven at the D-1 level at Qb, but so is Newton.

Either way, I think that KSU will be okay at this position next year.

We'll be fine with or without Cam.

Agreed.  I still hold out hope that Harper is actually awesome.  If he hasn't beaten out Lamur coming into the season I will start to worry.

There was a fluff piece update full of unconfirmed, second hand info from a JUCO team mate (that just so happens to be trying to pimp himself for a D1 scholly) and everything.
