FWIW I've seen Tre play and he looked extremely overated.  He does not see the field very well for a LB.    TIFWIW

Course a guy like that would need a coach like Snyder to teach him the fundamentals.  As I recall we've had a few good linebackers in our day.

    Fear the Brick
Davis skipped his visit to Manhattan and said he was a soft verbal now.  Is taking other visits.  Unsure what the deal is there.  Walker could be heading to Mizzou.  Lots of, "If he doesn't want to be a Wilcat then good riddance" and "If he chooses Pinkel over Bill I don't want him" being puked all over another board right now.

prolly my favorite part of any decommit.  will be even awesomer when jones commits to mu as well.  "already got plent of DL commits", "the coaches know what they're doing".

Would any of you d00ds trade all of our current 2010 DL prospects for Cam Newton?

i wouldn't. we have Chris Harper. :kstatriot:

He's a Wideout.   :blindfold:

then why does he practice with the QB's in pre-game?  and then who's gonna be are QB next year? isn't that why he came back is to play QB.

I think it's 50/50, WR or QB. Not even Harper or the coaches know where he'll end up yet. I don't think it matters a whole lot, we'll be more athletic regardless of where he plays. As long as we find a way to get the ball in his hands it will improve the team.
Show me defense.

Apparently, he's been working out with the WRs quite a bit.  He's my 2 cents:  The kids arm is not 100%.  The best spot for him to learn the system (until his arm is good again) is the WR position.  Learn the routes, learn the timing; from the other side of things.  The kid was adamant, from day one, that he was only interested in being a college QB. I can't imagine he would transfer to KSU to play the WR position when he could have easily done the same thing at Oregon, or another school close to home if he was truly homesick.  Just saying.

He still works with the QBs but he is a WR and Lamur is the QB for the scout team in practice.  Also, rumblings that Broderick Smith is looking very good in practice.

I had the privilege to sit in the "family/guest/recruit" section. BB's mom is hysterical.

Tre Walker = Locked up.

And look for Jones to come with because Tre said he talks to him everyday about it. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Dominique visited Columbia yesterday during the UT beat down of the tigers...

Newton's school list changed per rivals. Arizona and Oklahoma are down to low interest and we're still at medium with UT and MSU. Are we still in it?

All Rise... The Judge is in the house.
Gonna be tough beating out MSU if you ask me. He has a strong relationship with that head coach as he was the one who recruited him back at Florida.

This. I will be shocked if we land him.

Nice update overall about Newton. Said that the top three are MSU, us, & the Fightin' Kiffins. Said we are all even and that he has been following our season (so he has to be impressed).....

Said he's not going to worry about recruiting until after his season is over.

dunno what the qb situation is at tenn or miss st, but he couldn't ask for a better situation here. not to mention one that would fit his skillset.

It's a guarantee starting position with support from athletes such as DT at RB, and LB, CH at WR.

:kstatriot: Cam, you would look fantastic in Purple  :kstatriot:

This. And can you imagine Newton and Thomas running the option? I would get an enormous EMAW boner if we landed Newton.

Also, Cam would not have a chance winning a conference championship (let alone make it to the championship) if he was with Mississippi St.  The SEC is dominated by certain teams, and MSU is not one of them.

From the looks of it, Tennessee isn't going after him as hard.  Plus fans don't think Cam fits their offense.

The job is yours bud.  Come be a Wildcat, suit up, and lead us to a Big 12 Championship.

    The very best.
I don't like Newton. I want a legit dual-threater, not some fakie like newton.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
