Tennessee is recruiting me the hardest - Cam Newton

  at our coaching staff.

you can't expect our coaching staff to recruit and coach during the season. you've got to focus all your efforts on coaching the players you have and just worry about recruiting in December and January.

This post would have made sense during most of Snyd's tenure, but he actually has at least eleven dudes committed this year.

they were, like, not during the season.  suck it, trebec.

In this guy's top two:

http://rivals.yahoo.com/kansasstate/football/recruiting/player-Carey-Fortson-91996

mizzou is his leader right now, no? I do like Texas and high school in the same sentence though.

Seems like that WR we just signed had a better offer list.  What's up with that kid having zero stars?  In Texas?

So this guy is just going to look at uk and say, "Hey, you're the only one that hasn't offered me... can I just walk on?" 6' and 4.4 speed? There is ALWAYS room for a guy like that on anyone's squad.

I'm not saying this kid isn't any good.  I was just curious why he has no stars.  Yeah, if he really runs a 4.4, we could certainly find somewhere to put him on the field.  On a related note, if we did sign this kid, half this board would be irate, simply because he has no stars.

He doesn't have any stars because he hasn't been evaluated yet.

How many decent players have not been evaluated by this point in their senior years?  Is it fairly common?  I noticed that rivals has assigned two of his teammates stars, but not this guy.  Just seems like they would evaluate the guys that appear to be the best, first, doesn't it?  BTW, his two teammates were both 2* guys.

What ever :powertardapproved:

7 tackles in 4 games.  He'll fit in nicely with the DTs (you know, the converted TE and the 230 LB).

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

So... we should stop recruiting DTs so that maybe we can land Jones?

underwhelming string of commits.

I don't mind the two DTs.  We sure as hell need them, and they should be able to come in quickly and play.  Plus Boyd.  At least the DL should be improved next year.  Really don't know what to say about the WR.   Guess if he stays healthy he may be a decent addition.
