Franklin released by Chiefs
   The News
KcChiefs.com reports that the Chiefs waived wide receiver Will Franklin on Monday. He appeared in 13 games last season as a rookie.
   Our View
No reason was given for the transaction. The Chiefs are not exactly deep at wide receiver so it seems odd that they would give up so early on a second-year player with plenty of speed and a sound track record. Look for the Chiefs to draft a receiver in an attempt to replace him.

Hard to play Wide Receiver when you can't catch.

TGon has to stay or Cassell will be hung out to dry. Part of Cassel's success in NE was because he had protection and a good WR corp.

The Chiefs have neither. This is going to spell trouble imho.

Doubt Cassel finishes out the year eating turf every other down.
