OTT:  Looking for a good socket wrench set.  If you're near Centralia post your e-mail if interested and give me a price.  Would consider swapping with my Ollie North War Stories complete set on VHS.

OTTT:  Need a cheap colonoscopy.  What are some good prices in, or around Wamego.  Does not necessarily have to be a doctor, just be able to get the job done for ~50 dollars.

My cousin-in-law is a liscensed chiropracter out of Wabaunsee and has done these for a fixed one time $75 rate.  If you are willing to drive it might be worth it.  Post your e-mail for details.

I know it's OT but I know a guy in ogden that uses an old garden hose and a shop vac.  might be a little more than KK's Wamegan uncle, but you get what you pay for when it comes to colonoscopies (these days).

Dude used to clean the aquariums at Scaley Daves - so you know you're not getting some do it yourselfer.

OT:  anyone know who our starting long snapper will be this season?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Back on topic.

I've got chipmunks, so obviously I need to kill them.  Lot's of kids and old people here in Prarie Village so things that are dangerous like poison and traps are out of the question.

That's where the guns come in and there's just something that feels right about brandishing a fire arm in a suburban neighborhood.  My thinking is, "I've got neighbors, why not put a show on for these people".

Nothing crazy.  Just a nice, powerful hand gun that shoots things.

You kill chipmunks by getting a 5 gallon bucket of water. build a ramp up to it with wood. Fill it a little over 1/2 with water. Add a ton of sunflower seeds (they float). Watch the lil bastads climb in to eat, but instead, they drown. Kinda mean but works. BTW - there are sites online about this. Animal people really freak about this method. I've never used it personally.

Thanks, but I'll stick with the guns.

I can't brandish a 5 gallon bucket of water.  Or earn the respect of the olds that live next to me.

Buy and train a weasel to eat chipmunk.  Buy snake and put in cage of weasel.  Buy domestic owl to eat snake.  Release domestic owl into undomesticated environment.  Owl will die and be eaten by fox or coyote.  Problem solved.

You probably could just buy and train an owl but you wouldn't be able to use the opportunity to teach your kids how the predatory chain works. :whistle1:
Here's hoping that Clams is chillin' with someone cool up in that big EMAW in the sky. RIP Clams, RIP.

Ideally you'd like a Protecta Assault Shotgun but I doubt you'll find (a legal) one.  Barring that I'd go with a Winchester 1300 or a Remington 870.  You'll get a minimum of 8 shots with any of these so when you miss and the critter takes off you can track him without having the hassle of stopping to reload.  Double bonus: these are ideal home defense weapons after your chipmunk problem is solved, great for holding off revenuers, the CIA or just the local police.

GP post of the week, IMO.

OT: If you threw a dinner party and could invite

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
any famous athletes, comedians, celebreties were guaranteed to come...who would you want? Remember you want this to be a fun upbeat party, not a quiet get together to discuss politics.

pretty presumptuous to assume they know what kind of dinner party i would want to throw. quiet political discussions are the cat's meow as far as i'm concerned. fun upbeat party... puhhhhlease   . what do they think? do they think i'm a teenager raver? no glowsticks here guys. gmafb here. give it a rest. shut the lights out and go home.

Dinner party is an oxymoron. Unless of course burgers and brats by the pool w/ lotsa booze counts as "dinner".

    ANGRY AS F*CK
Back in the good old days when I lived in the richie rich part of GC, we had a chipmunk problem.  I would stand on our 2nd floor balcony with a bb gun and shoot them, and then while they were stunned my buddy would beat them to death with a shovel.  Amazingly fun.

If you're wanting a shotgun (ideal for small pests), get a $200 Mossberg Maverick 18" or 20".

If you want a pistol, a 22 would probably work. Get a Sig Mosquito. If you want real power, get a used Glock that uses .40.

You may want to try one of these. Even if you miss, you'll give the bastard a heart attack. It really will impress the neighbor's, too.

Impressing the neighbors is really priority one.  Any semi-automatic capability on that thing?  Prolly sort of important I would guess.

Yeah, it's semi-auto. It's also a .50 caliber, so everyone can hear it go off.
