    The very best.
Beat ku and Texas at home. He's back.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

That would be a bittersweet stretch of basketball.

I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Just for the bonus of sweeping ku and finally ending their monopoly on Bramlage, or what?

You'd trade a ku sweep for another year of Woolyball?

You're more of a ku hater than a KSU lover.

I would take the loss (either one) for the good of the program.

Ideally, Jim would win those games and still get fired.

If he wins both, I'd seriously consider bringing him back. It shows he can compete with the best.

Moot though, he has never proved in his entire career he can do something like that.

Don't worry, I've still got your back.

That would be a sweet way to enter the long-ass football-less, basketball-less offseason.

Your second line is exactly why I wouldn't consider bringing him back even if he wins out.

Also, until you consistently beat the worst, "competing" with the best is meaningless.

Jim is, was, and will always be in over his head in this league.

You are 100% correct. I apologize. I just got horny from the possibility of beating t.u. and ku.

I loved Nation's quote that Nebraska wasn't as close to "breaking through" as KSU because "they get blown up more often"

Christ, KSU hasn't had a &@#%ing NIT appearance since 1999. We aren't even on the Hump.

A team like Iowa State is on the hump.

no chance we beat texas anyway after the assbeating they took from osu today.  too much on the line now for them to screw around losing to us.

this argument is so fool's gold.  KSU could always beat ku and UT while losing to NU and OU.  no tourney at 7-9 and trips and rusty can both be happy at the end of the season.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."
