"unarrested"

Wow.

I will vote for this AD and chief of police in Riley county if we can somehow lure them away.  And I am not even kidding even a little bit.

Lew's in control.  Dirtiest and yet best AD if you're going to run a crooked program.

A suspect was identified and arrested, and then unarrested, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.

If true, this isn't something to be joking about.  Ben Leuken didn't deserve to get seriously hurt and Jocque Crawford doesn't deserve to get raked over the coals by a bunch of people who don't know what happened.  It sounds like Crawford (or someone else) was trying to leave the situation and Leuken jumped on the hood of his car.

Well then, sounds like there's just nothing to this.  Both guys should be held harmless.  Not their fault.  If you're looking for the guilty parties, look no further than Grey Goose and Chevrolet.  Those bastards.

I am glad the kid is not critically injured. . . still laughing out loud at the law enforcement/cover up piece of this equation.

Just had a further thought: I bet that another arrest would trigger some sort of serious legal action under Crawford's probation.  Just makes the Lawrence PD's actions all the more amazing.  Some real evil genius stuff going on over there.  (And I'm not sure it's actually possible to "unarrest" someone.)

Somebody check the Douglas County DA's driveway . . . and anybody going to pull the registration on that high dollar SUV that Crawford's "aunt" bought him??

I think this is probably the case.  According to this "second chance" story by Dodd (http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/story/10781112/2 ) he was put on supervised probation in late 2005, though it never said how long (probably because he was a juve).  Not sure the usual length of probation they give people arrested for rape.

Not sure how that works with the conviction being a juvenile one.  Don't the juvenile things get sealed or something once you're eighteen? Surely there's got to be somebody pretending to be an attorney on this board who can google this for us and pass it off as his own expert testimony.

Well, I'm not an attorney, but I do work in the system.  I asked someone who has VERY good knowledge of the junvenile system and they said that juvenile records are never sealed.  And this person is a K-State grad, so you know they're good for it.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

great to hear.  this has gone from a rumor w/ one player dead and one in prison to two guys having to run a crapload of stairs.

was the outcome of this latest incident ever in doubt?  really?

What would you prefer?  Jail time for stepping on the brakes after a guy jumps on the hood of your car?  I'm glad you're not running our country.

i bet they arrested him because he didn't do anything and was completely innocent.  that's my bet.  same with the rape thingy.  just the man trying to keep a brother down.

Nice find JS . . . you know we aren't going to get any information from Coach Depth Chart Discipline and the cover up everything kthug athletic department.

No doubt the lpd is prejudice and the arrest was racially motivated.

Where have I seen this playbook before?

Step 1: Initiate "Operation Damage Control".

Step 2: Deny reports until incident becomes public record.

Step 3: Downplay severity of events.

Step 3: Assess the future athletic contribution level of players involved (taking into consideration the fact that an injured party may no longer be able to participate in collegiate athletics).

Step 4: Throw public support towards higher profile player or non-injured player.
Welcome back, Bill.

Step 5:  Answer all inquiries with no comment and/or it's an internal matter.

Nothing like the ku kid racking up thousands of posts on the K-State board talking about obsession.

Has anyone seen Moosehawk and Captain Meltdown in the same room??

so does the Brainiac (no pun intended) that jumped on the moving vehicle get charges pressed against him- wreckless endangerment?  felony destruction of property?  dumbass of the year?  just wondering, if Rapist is innocent then certainly the other guy isn't.  unless of course they're both just being picked on for being black, even though Brainiac is white.

will they arrest Brainiac and then unarrest him?  inquiring minds want to know

What does that have to do with anything??

The Johnson County DA is a Washburn Law Grad (but I thought they weren't in demand),  the Shawnee County DA  went to Law School in Chicago, the Sedgwick County DA went to Washburn Law (but, but I though they weren't in demand??),   the Wyandotte County DA graduated from Washburn Law (I thought they weren't in demand).

You go Bentard.
